Meet Sadie! Momma Sadie - Momma is a sweet, kind hearted dog who is looking for her forever home. She has had a rough life but she still finds a way to see the silver lining each day. We are guessing she is around 7 years old. She loves to curl up on your lap and just be close to you. She loves affection and has been an amazing mom to her 6 puppies. She is friendly with small and large dogs alike. She is cautious around new people but warms up to them with proper introduction. She has spent her life scavenging for her next meal so she does need someone who is willing to put in some work/training with her to not feel as though she needs to always be on the search for her next meal. Momma is an adventurous dog and enjoys being physically challanged.  SHe will make a great hiking buddy!. Hoping Momma Sadie will find a safe place to finally call home and live out the rest of her years being loved the way she has always deserved.  dult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. “Sadie is the perfect houseguest! She is so affectionate and playful, you would never know she was 8 years old! “ - Sadie’s petsitter We couldn’t agree more! ✅Great with babies, toddlers, children of all ages ✅Introductions are easy - just a sniff of your hand is needed ✅Completely ignores indoor cats ✅ Housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go outside. ✅Playful with other dogs once a slow introduction has been made ✅Knows her commands - strongest are “here”, “leave it”, “off”, “wait” (She knows all of them though!) ✅ Walks at a heel with a pinch collar and will walk with you as long as you’d like 10 min - 3 hours! ✅ Respectful of household items - can be left alone for hours in the house without messing with anything (besides food left on the counter! 🤣) ✅Travels well in the car - just lies down and takes a nap ✅ No health issues - hips, teeth, ears, heart - all doing great! ✅ Not sensitive to touch - she has no hesitation letting you touch her paws, nails, ears or teeth. ✅Does not guard her food, toys or bed (She even lets the cats eat her food and sleep on her bed!) Sadie would love to have a family of her own!  She would do well in a busy household or one where people are home most of the time.  She loves going on walks and spending time with you (and her beloved tennis balls) in the backyard. She is definitely a people dog and will check in with you frequently at home requesting pets and cuddles and on walks if she is unsure of something. Sadie would be fine being an only dog, but would also do well in a household that has other dogs to play with.  Sadie is a  lovely 100% German Shepherd. show less

Meet Nemo! Nemo is a sweet Cane Corso.  He's super clumsy, he still has to get used to his long legs. He enjoys playing and exploring.  He does great in a crate and even sleeps all night long.   He knows how to use a doggy door.  He is completely housetrained.  He loves any and all toys.  He is super affectionate and loves cuddles.  Currently Nemo lives with a Chocolate Lab who he does well with.  He has met a cat but was too intimidated by her hisses.  He is working on simple commands but seems to be a fast learner. Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Meet Nessie. I am very lovable, slightly aloof girl looking for her fur-ever home. One of my favorite things to do is hang out with you and give lots of kisses.  I love to play with toys, especially the squeaky ones! Being a good girl, I am house trained, crate trained, I walk well on leash, and I I know my basic obedience.   At night, if you put a blanket or a dog bed next to your bed, I will sleep next to you, that is my favorite place.  I love going for walks and I ride well in the car.  Take me on hikes with you, I am very agile and like to make it over any obstacles.  I have a very strong prey drive and would do well in such activities. Cats are a thing to chase, so a home without cats would be ideal. I also like to hang out on the couch with you and if you are not sitting in your favorite chair, I will curl up in it. I have not been around children much, so I would need a slow introduction to them. I will sneak up and gently steal toys from my foster sister (Cora). I have been introduced to pup cups and really enjoyed them.    I am really learning what it is like to be a dog. I am learning commands like sit, paw, down and stay. I will do well in a house with another confident dog to help show me the ropes. I am definitely a dog that requires time and trust, but I am a loyal and loving dog to my people.  Adoption fees: Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. Let it Rain!    Rain is approximately 5 years old, an old soul with eyes that tell untold stories of her unbelievable past. At the most recent vet follow-up on her front left leg’s limp, a set of X-rays of all four legs revealed shocking discovery. The vet found bullets, bullet fragments and BB pellet in Rain’s legs and body. One of the bullets shattered her front left humerus and the bone healed on its own in an abnormal way (we can’t even imagine the pain that Rain went through at the time), the inflammation causes Rain to hesitate putting full weight on that leg. We are not 100% sure but the vet said that Rain was probably used for target practice. Despite the atrocious abuse, this girl has remained sweet and loves people of all ages, dogs of all sizes and even cats and horses. Rain has a low to medium energy, she’s perfect for a family that wants a calm and easy going dog, daily short walk and occasional trip to the beach. She had been to Poplar Beach in HMB and hiked Devil’s Slide with foster mom, and easily did 1-1.4 miles. She’s doing well on Galliprant once a day to manage the inflammation, join supplement and turmeric. You’d be surprised to see Rain running around the house and backyard, tossing her toys in the air and playing with Pita, the other Calpaws K9 girl. Rain loves her daily walk and is good on loose leash walking, she knows her basic commands and being a German Shepherd, she will alert her people with a loud alarm bark. Rain is not asking for much, her only wish is to find a family that will keep her safe and cherish her for the rest of her life. Dogs over 1 and under 6 years old: $400 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Meet Ranger! On Memorial Day weekend, our lives were forever changed when my daughter, Kira, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 8 years old. The news was overwhelming, and we faced the daunting task of managing her insulin shots. Amidst the uncertainty, our foster puppy, Ranger, became an unexpected source of strength and inspiration. Ranger had come into our lives under difficult circumstances. He was attacked by his mom, leaving him with a broken jaw that required surgery and a GI tube for feeding. Despite his injuries, Ranger showed an incredible spirit of resilience. His determination to heal mirrored the journey Kira was about to embark on. Kira was terrified of needles. The sight of an insulin syringe brought tears to her eyes, and the thought of multi injections a day was paralyzing. As parents, we did our best to comfort her, but it was clear she needed more support. Ranger, with his bandaged jaw and brave heart, became her unexpected ally. One evening, as Kira and I sat on the couch, dreading her next shot, Ranger trotted over, his movements a bit slower but no less determined. He sensed her fear and anxiety. Ranger had a way of knowing when someone needed comfort, and despite his own pain, he was always there to provide it. Kira’s tears began to subside as she focused on Ranger. She gently stroked his soft fur, finding solace in his presence. Ranger wagged his tail and licked her hand, a gesture that seemed to say, "You can do this. I'm here with you." Inspired by Ranger's support, we decided to involve him in Kira’s insulin routine. We placed a treat on the counter and showed it to Ranger, who watched intently. Then, with Ranger by her side, Kira took a deep breath and prepared her insulin shot. She kept one hand on Ranger's back, feeling his steady heartbeat beneath her palm. "Good boy, Ranger," Kira whispered as I injected her. Ranger's presence seemed to give her the courage she needed. After each shot, Ranger would get his treat, a small reward for being Kira’s steadfast companion. As days turned into weeks, Kira’s confidence grew. She still had moments of fear, but Ranger was always there to offer comfort and encouragement. His unwavering support made the process a little less daunting. Watching him recover from his own injuries gave a sense of perspective and strength. If Ranger could endure surgery and heal from a broken jaw, she could manage Ranger's impact extended beyond the practical aspects of managing diabetes. He brought joy and laughter into our home during a difficult time. His playful antics and loving nature reminded us all that there was still so much to be grateful for. Memorial Day weekend had started as a time of fear and uncertainty, but with Ranger's help, it became a story of resilience and love. Our foster puppy had become a hero, showing us that even in the face of challenges, the bond between a child and her dog could bring strength and hope. Ranger is now looking for a family to call his own. Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip.
