Looking for a smart, sweet, and slightly clumsy boy? Luke is your man. Luke is a little timid upon first introduction, but wow he warms up quickly. Please note: We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is on our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. We are not a shelter and do not have a facility. All our dogs are in foster homes. Adoption Fees: Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old: $450 Dogs over 2 and under 6 years old: $400 Dogs 6 or more years old: $350 Please follow Calpaws K9 rescue on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CalpawsK9Rescue) for updates on our dogs. Looking for a smart, sweet, and slightly clumsy boy? Luke is your man. Luke is a little timid upon first introduction, but wow he warms up quickly. He is thriving in our home after only a few days. In a matter of 24 hours, he picked up many of our resident dog's habits, for better or for worse haha! He is a smart cookie. He and our dog play all day long and he wants to always be by her side, so we think he would do best in a home with a confident resident dog that he can learn from and bond with. Luke is sleeping well in his crate over night, and aside from a couple accidents in the house on the first day, he seems to be almost fully housebroken. He is a large, strong boy so he needs some solid, consistent leash training. As mentioned, he's a quick learner, so we think he'll be a loyal, trainable, happy-to-please-his-owners type of dog in no time. We can not stress enough, learn your breeds. Not every dog breed is meant to be in every home. Do your research. A dog breed should reflect your home and lifestyle. Please research this breed before filling out an application. This is not a beginners dog. If you are interested in meeting this dog, please review our adoption process and then fill out an online adoption form at https://www.calpaws.org/adopting. Experience with obedience training is definitely required. We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience.
