**SPECIAL NEEDS - PLEASE READ FULL BIO** Maisey Mae is an ADORABLE 4 month old female purebred French Bulldog puppy. This sweet girl was surrendered to our rescue by her previous owner, after she realized that she was unable to accommodate Maisey's special needs. She wanted to ensure that Maisey goes to a loving home that is able to meet Maisey's needs, and that is exactly what Paws Rescue League intends to do. We will be very selective in reviewing applicants for this special girl.  Maisey has mobility issues with her back legs and is also partially incontinent. Her prior vet believes that she either has spina bifida or cerebral palsy. She is awaiting additional evaluation by our vet for a second opinion. Despite these issues, Maisey is a happy, playful, sweet, and spunky puppy! She does not know that she is different, and she is able to get around just fine (including stairs). She will likely require regular physical therapy and/or chiropractic care to help her gain strength in her back legs. Since she is partially incontinent, she wears diapers at night, and will need to be changed/cleaned in the morning to keep her clean and dry, and to avoid irritation (just like a baby). Other than that, Maisey is just like any other puppy! She loves other dogs and is good with people and kids (not cat tested, but puppies typically do fine with cats if introduced at a young age). From Maisey's current foster: "Maisey May is a fun loving puppy that loves to play with other dogs and toys. Enjoys taking walks and snuggling on the couch. She is a spunky girl that has a big personality. She is a good listener and knows her name. She has the Frenchie snore that is just adorable. She is crate trained and sleeps great all night.  We are waiting on more vetting to determine the diagnosis with her hind legs - she will also be spayed at that time.  She has mobility and can run and go up and down stairs. She sometimes drags her back toes. There is nothing stopping her yet.   Looking for that special home to provide the care and love that this cute little puppy deserves." In honor of Black Dog Day, the adoption fee has been reduced for this dog by $150 through 10/31/24 from the adoption fee listed below! Journey of Hope:  In a world where life can be unpredictable, Bre's story is a testament to resilience and hope. This captivating 10-month-old terrier/lab/husky mix has faced adversity, but her spirit remains unbroken. Bre's journey began with tragedy. At just four weeks old, she lost her mother in a car accident. Fortunately, fate intervened. A Tennessee foster home welcomed Bre and her siblings, providing solace and care for four precious months. Then, Paws Rescue League offered a lifeline, transporting them to New England to find their FURever homes.  With one brilliant blue eye and one warm, brown eye, they sparkle with a depth that draws you in. It's as if her eyes stare into your soul. This rare, heterochromatic beauty makes her truly unique. (Fun fact: Bre stands for "Blue Right Eye"! 👀) The smallest of her litter, she weighs in at 30 lbs. She's a firecracker, bursting with excitement and joy, always ready to explore and adventure.  Bre's coat sheds minimally, making her perfect for families with a preference for less grooming. Her beauty is effortless, requiring only love and attention.  She has requested a home that will provide an active lifestyle with regular exercise, and to offer her a stable and loving environment.  Bre is crate trained and fully housebroken, loves other dogs, and will do just about anything for her humans.  This girl is waiting for a forever home to share her love. Will you open your heart and home to this deserving sweetheart? NOTE - All of our rescue dogs have health certificates from state of origin (TN) as well as Connecticut per the new 2024 laws of the CT Dept of Agriculture. They are healthy, fully vaccintated and in loving fosters homes where they have been taught house manners. socialization with people and other dogs, and are potty trained.  show less
