Colbalt was found as a stray dog in TN, running with Capri (who we assume to be his sibling or some relation). They were picked up by animal control and placed on a 3 day stray hold to see if an owner would come and claim them. No owner came for them, so Paws Rescue League Inc. saved Colblat and Capri, so they would not be euthanized after the 3rd day. The animal control we pull from is a kill shelter, that euthanizes dogs for space. Volunteers do all they can to advocate for the dogs that get picked up or dumped at Animal Control. Colbalt is currently in a TN foster, he will be making his way to New England on 02/12/2022. When he will be looking for both a foster home, to stay in while he awaits a furever home.  What is current foster has to say about Colblat " Colbalt and Capri absolutely love children. They are both vert sweet and wiggly from head to toe.Colbalt is a little more brave and out going, and Capri a bit more timid and shy. They both love going on walks, and walk well on leash, and dont pull. Colbalt is a very well behaved dog. Colbalt has met my cats, and is midly interested, but easily dissuaded from barking at the cat. Colbalt has been around my horses, and ducks and is unbothered by either of them. Colbalt did well with my 2 large dogs. Colbalt is crate trained, and house broken, no accidents since he arrived. When you tell him to go in the crate he will go right in. Both Colbalt and Capri are very quiet when in their crates. They would make lovely additions to many types of families, and would fit well in most homes. Both are very very good dogs. show less

Owen Wilson came in to animal control as a stray, along with Luke Wilson, who we presume to be his brother or of relation. They are roughly same age, size, with neatly identical looks.  Both dogs have probably lived their first couple years of their short lives on a chain or locked in a kennel, they have worn their front teeth down a bit which is an indication that they were locked/chained and have tried to chew their way through the metal to get out. It is heartbreaking just thinking about it.  Owen is a little skiddish at first, his foster said the first few days he would just pancake his body flat alot. And when offering a treat he would cry, run and hide. Unfortunatley we beleive this may be some trauma he has had in the past, he may have been beaten when he got into some food or treat. But all of that is in Owens past! Owen has been with his TN foster mom for the last 2 weeks building up his confidence and showing him what love is and what its like to live INSIDE a home, and have humans who care for you. And after a few days, he realized just how much he LOVED it! He has come out of his shell, and shown his personality. He is a sweet and loving boy, who really enjous cuddles now! And likes to play with other dogs. He has not been cat tested yet, he did well with children and was a bit shy and timid around new people at first, but warms up. He is crate trained, and housebroken, is neutered, utd on all vaccines and vetting. show less

Cheyanne is a sweet pup who gets long with everyone. She was saved by a family, and she lived with them for over 6 months and they adored her, and she got along well with all of thier other dogs, unfortunately their 6 year old female rescue dog did not like Cheyanne and she would pick on Cheyanne. The family reluctantly surrendered her to rescue so she can find a home where everyone excepts her for the sweet wonderful happy girl she is.  She is goood with kids, who are dog savvy and know to give a dog their space and not crowd them. She is great with other dogs, she has not been cat tested yet. She does well at day care. But when her family surrendered her she knew something was happening, she got depressed, and she shook and was unsure what was happening, She has been coming to terms with the change, but Cheyanne would love to have a home and family of her own and not have to worry about being bounced around. Cheyanne was surrendered with her 2 favorite toys, "Ms Missy" the one eyed rabbit, and "Holly jalapeno". Her family were heartbroken to let her go, and are praying she finds a home that will adore her as they do. Cheyanne is a 1 year old bloodhound/choc lab mix. She is spayed, and UTD on all vetting, vaccines, and preventatives. Fully house broken, crate trained and knows her basic commands. She is a joy and just wants to share her life with a family, and be part of the family.  show less
