Boss is a 6 month old Pyrenean Mastiff mix, he is 50lbs currenlty and we estimate he will double that way by his first birhtday. Boss will need a home with an adopter who has large breed experience, preferably double coated large breed experience. Pyrenean mastiffs are known for their calm demenor, and Boss is no exception. He is a relaxed, gentle big boy who wants to be near his people. This breed of dog was bred to attend livestock, and gaurd the farm animals, and home. Boss could display protective, gaurding behaviors as he gets older, again experience with large breeds is prefered. He would love a large fenced in back yard where he can run around, and lay and soak up the sun on nice days. As we stated he is going to be an X Large dog, children 12+ are prefered, due to his size, he can easily knock over small children unintentionally. Boss tested well with cats. he seemed to ignore them. He does well with other dogs, he plays a bit then just keeps to himself or follows his person. He is crate trained, and was potty trained with a dog door, so he may need some guidance when it comes to housebreaking with out a dog door. He is neutered, and UTD on all vaccines, vetting and monthy preventatives. show less

Hoss was orphaned at the age of 6 years old. His beloved owner had passed away, days went by with poor Hoss alone, with his passed owner, until they were found. He lost his momma and the only home has ever known in the matter of days. Hoss was picked up and placed in a shelter and was there for a few month, everyone passing him by because he is a rottweiler. But if they gave Hoss a chance they would of known what a sweet and gentle giant he is. Hoss is 6-7 years young! With many years of love to give. He is good with other dogs, and children (older children due to size). We are unsure on cats. He is fuly housebroken, crate trained, knows his basic commands, and is a total sweetheart. He is just looking for someone who can love him, and who he can love back. show less

Colbalt was found as a stray dog in TN, running with Capri (who we assume to be his sibling or some relation). They were picked up by animal control and placed on a 3 day stray hold to see if an owner would come and claim them. No owner came for them, so Paws Rescue League Inc. saved Colblat and Capri, so they would not be euthanized after the 3rd day. The animal control we pull from is a kill shelter, that euthanizes dogs for space. Volunteers do all they can to advocate for the dogs that get picked up or dumped at Animal Control. Colbalt is currently in a TN foster, he will be making his way to New England on 02/12/2022. When he will be looking for both a foster home, to stay in while he awaits a furever home. What is current foster has to say about Colblat " Colbalt and Capri absolutely love children. They are both vert sweet and wiggly from head to toe.Colbalt is a little more brave and out going, and Capri a bit more timid and shy. They both love going on walks, and walk well on leash, and dont pull. Colbalt is a very well behaved dog. Colbalt has met my cats, and is midly interested, but easily dissuaded from barking at the cat. Colbalt has been around my horses, and ducks and is unbothered by either of them. Colbalt did well with my 2 large dogs. Colbalt is crate trained, and house broken, no accidents since he arrived. When you tell him to go in the crate he will go right in. Both Colbalt and Capri are very quiet when in their crates. They would make lovely additions to many types of families, and would fit well in most homes. Both are very very good dogs. show less

Owen Wilson came in to animal control as a stray, along with Luke Wilson, who we presume to be his brother or of relation. They are roughly same age, size, with neatly identical looks. Both dogs have probably lived their first couple years of their short lives on a chain or locked in a kennel, they have worn their front teeth down a bit which is an indication that they were locked/chained and have tried to chew their way through the metal to get out. It is heartbreaking just thinking about it. Owen is a little skiddish at first, his foster said the first few days he would just pancake his body flat alot. And when offering a treat he would cry, run and hide. Unfortunatley we beleive this may be some trauma he has had in the past, he may have been beaten when he got into some food or treat. But all of that is in Owens past! Owen has been with his TN foster mom for the last 2 weeks building up his confidence and showing him what love is and what its like to live INSIDE a home, and have humans who care for you. And after a few days, he realized just how much he LOVED it! He has come out of his shell, and shown his personality. He is a sweet and loving boy, who really enjous cuddles now! And likes to play with other dogs. He has not been cat tested yet, he did well with children and was a bit shy and timid around new people at first, but warms up. He is crate trained, and housebroken, is neutered, utd on all vaccines and vetting. show less

Not much is known about Lola and Lylas past before they were picked up together. We know that they were scrounging for food and were afraid of the AC officers. Once at animal control they showed how sweet they were, and it was apparent these two girls were just puppies. While in her TN foster home, Lyla was exposed to cats, other dogs and children. She did well with all of them, she was gentle with the children, and she didnt mind the cats at all, and she was playful with the older dogs (varying sizes). She enjoys napping on a dog bed, or couch and was descrived as an over all great dog. She is being kid tested this week, and will update. She has not been cat tested. She was found as a stray on a road called Freedom RD! Paws Rescue League took one look at that face and knew we had to save her and get her a freedom ride! She is looking for her furever home in New England. She is crate trained, house broken, knows a few basic commands. She has done well at doggy day care and around other dogs and people, and just loves to get a little one on one attention every so often. Sadly she was most liekly dumped becasue she didnt perform well as a hunting dog. Luckily for her, whomever owned her decided to dump her and not shoot her. Which gave her a chance to live! show less

Zoey is a sweet girl, who loves her people, and doggo friends but is very shy at first. Not much is known about the life Zoey had prior to rescue, but one thing we do know is she is shy and timid when meeting for the first time, the sweet girl tries to hide. But after only a few moments of her being near you and realizing she can trust you she begins to open up. Zoey is a darling of a dog, who loves kids, and other dogs, and her people. She is sweet as can be, very gentle girl. She is 100% potty trained and crate trained, though she would much prefer a soft couch or bed (but she won't tell you that, she doesn't like to fuss much). Walks well on leash, and enjoys spending time outside. She is happy to do whatever it is that you are doing. She would make the perfect best friend for someone, or a perfect addition to a family. show less

Adira came to Paws Rescue League, when we were asked to help a local county shelter that was full. We took 4 dogs from the shelter including Adira. Adira is an 8 month old female, full bred st Bernard. She was dumped by her previous owners who bought her from a breeder. They didnt care to give Adira the love and care that she needed as a long haired, large breed dog that she is, and did not research the breed before they got her, ultimately little Adira had to pay the consequence of that. Adira is the epitome of a gentle giant, she is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, people of all sizes (children), though we do suggest older due to her size. She is good with cats, and she has never met a stranger. She likes to cuddle and adores the snow! She is crate trained, and house broken. Spayed, and UTD on all her vacciens and vetting. show less

Cheyanne is a sweet pup who gets long with everyone. She was saved by a family, and she lived with them for over 6 months and they adored her, and she got along well with all of thier other dogs, unfortunately their 6 year old female rescue dog did not like Cheyanne and she would pick on Cheyanne. The family reluctantly surrendered her to rescue so she can find a home where everyone excepts her for the sweet wonderful happy girl she is. She is goood with kids, who are dog savvy and know to give a dog their space and not crowd them. She is great with other dogs, she has not been cat tested yet. She does well at day care. But when her family surrendered her she knew something was happening, she got depressed, and she shook and was unsure what was happening, She has been coming to terms with the change, but Cheyanne would love to have a home and family of her own and not have to worry about being bounced around. Cheyanne was surrendered with her 2 favorite toys, "Ms Missy" the one eyed rabbit, and "Holly jalapeno". Her family were heartbroken to let her go, and are praying she finds a home that will adore her as they do. Cheyanne is a 1 year old bloodhound/choc lab mix. She is spayed, and UTD on all vetting, vaccines, and preventatives. Fully house broken, crate trained and knows her basic commands. She is a joy and just wants to share her life with a family, and be part of the family. show less

He is working on mastering potty training and crate training in his foster home, he knows a few of his basic commands and with continued guidence from his adopters he will continue to be a great dog! Snickers and his siblings are available for adoption and will be ready to go to their furever homes on 01/14/2022. We are currently taking applications for this litter. Since all 10 puppies are so young, they get along with everyone, people, children, cats, and dogs. They are being fostered with cats, dogs, parrots and farm animals and do very well with all. They are not potty trained, or crate trained yet. Snickers will stay with mom and siblinga until he is 8 weeks old, and can go to his furever home in New England. If you are interersted in Snickers, please fill out an application. These dogs will grow to be medium to large based on the breeds they are assumed to be, they will need acess to a yard, or multiple daily walks, or hikes to keep them physcially active, and mentally stimulate them so they are happy well rounded dogs. show less
