Meet Dayna, an adorable 1 year old spayed female poodle/doodle mix with a heart of gold! Weighing around 40 pounds, she's the perfect size for snuggles and playtime. This super sweet and friendly girl loves other dogs, people, and kids! She has been gentle and well-behaved around the 2 year old in her foster home. While she has not been cat tested, she shines in her ability to get along with everyone else. Dayna would thrive with an active family who loves outdoor adventures, hikes, and playtime. Even better if that family has another dog for her to play with - she'd love a furry best friend to share in the fun! Medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained, Dayna is ready to bring joy and companionship to her new forever home. Apply today to meet this lovely gal and start a new adventure together! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. Hello! My name is Maui! If you stopped to read my profile, you're in for a treat because I'm the BEST boy in the entire world. All my friends at Paws Rescue League say I'm a fan favorite, so I guess I'm a little bit popular here! If you're looking for a sweet, loving family dog, then I'm the one for you! Meet Maui, a handsome 4-5 years young neutered male boxer/terrier mix, weighing about 75 lbs! Maui's story is a sad one. He was taken from a home in east TN due to neglect after it was discovered that the teenager in the home was killing small animals for fun 😢 Fortunately, he was taken into rescue and has been doing AMAZINGLY well in foster care! He is now ready to find his furever home, where he will be safe and loved for the rest of his days. Maui is a very sweet, friendly boy who is good with EVERYONE! He is a gentle giant who does great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He has a nub for a tail and he wiggles his WHOLE butt when he is happy, which is pretty much all the time!! He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Maui has been with us for over 6 months now and we're not sure why because he is simply awesome. If you're considering putting in an application, you won't regret it. From Maui's current foster: "Maui is an AMAZING dog. Very polite, fully housebroken, a non-jumper, laid back but also loves to play. He will be a great loyal family dog." Meet Kesha, a SUPER cute 4 month old female husky mix puppy! Kesha and her siblings were born to mama Aurora on 1/30/2025. Like her mama, she has one blue eye and one brown eye! All of the other pups in the litter have been adopted, Kesha is the last one remaining 😢 We don't understand how Kesha and mama Aurora haven't been scooped up yet, as they are both amazing and BEAUTIFUL dogs!  Kesha is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone (dogs, cats, people, and kids)! She is medically up to date, crate trained, and working hard on mastering housebreaking.  From Kesha's current foster:  "We can’t believe Kesha is still with us after almost 2 months! Her 2 sisters were adopted pretty quick, but this little girl sure has made the most of her time with us. She’s attended her human cousin’s birthday party (and she crushed it!) 🎉, took a trip to the beach down in Plymouth 🌊, and was the cutest little hotel guest down in Newport for a weekend 🏨. Kesha has really been a rockstar. She’s so smart, loves the crate, all toys, playing with other dogs, and she’s great with kids! During our weekend in Newport, everyone from the hotel staff to all the people that stopped to say hi to little miss Ma’am commented on how cute and well behaved she was.  Our trips were a good opportunity to get some leash training practice too 🐕! She still wants to explore everything, but she’s starting to get a handle on the leash! We’re still working on house training, but she’s made a lot of progress which has been made easier with how well she does in the crate.  We really can’t believe this girl hasn’t been scooped up, she’s going to make the best little companion / buddy for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her 🐶!"  Apply to meet this darling girl today! Meet Casper, a ~5 year old neutered male mini poodle/shih tzu mix, weighing about 22 lbs! He is a sweet boy who can be shy at first and came to us being fearful/aggressive to strangers. He wants desperately to form connections with people (and he does once you give him space and let him come to you on his own terms!), but he is very fearful and he has learned that behaving in an aggressive manner = the scary thing goes away.  His incredible foster home has spent several months working with him and training him to trust and be loved, but he will need a patient adopter willing to continue working with him so he doesn't lose all of the amazing progress he's made. He DOES have the capacity to trust and once he does, he is an absolute LOVE and a very sweet boy.  Casper is good with other dogs after a proper introduction (he does best with similar sized dogs). He is good with people once he has gotten to know them and trusts them, but would do best in a child-free home. He has not been cat tested, but we feel he would probably do ok with cats. Casper's ideal home would be one with a quiet, calm environment. From Casper's current foster: "Casper is truly growing everyday. He is protective when strangers come into the house but we have been working on this. As far as my family in my house, he is a complete love. Loves to play, lay on your lap and be around his people. He is so gentle and sweet. I just love this guy. He is amazing with my boys. Has welcomed other foster puppies into the home with no problems. He is going to be an amazing dog for the right people. He just wants to be loved and feel safe. So sad he had a rough start but he is such a joy to have." Casper is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken. Meet Wayne, a handsome 1.5 year old neutered male standard poodle, weighing approx 50 lbs!  Wayne was surrendered to Paws Rescue League (through no fault of his own) when his owner was no longer able to care for him. His family made sure that he went to a rescue, to be certain Wayne would find his PAWFECT family!  When he came to PRL he had missed his grooming appointment due to family events, he definitely played hard and he was in desperate need of a good trim!  Fast forward to today, and just LOOK at him now! ✨  Although his new haircut does make him look quite proper, Wayne is a fun loving guy and is sure to bring lots of love and joy to his new family. Meet Nala, a brave ~5 year old spayed female pug mix with a heart of gold! She weighs about 20 lbs. This sweet girl was saved from being euthanized, but thanks to a second chance at life, she's ready to thrive in her forever home. It is healing and she is looking MUCH better!  This little lady has a big personality in a small package! She loves to strut her stuff and show off her bold side around other dogs, often trying to act tougher than she is. This girl shines brightest around her favorite humans. A TAIL OF SECOND CHANCES: Bailey is a loving 7 year old spayed Border Collie mix weighing 42lbs. This sweet girl adores people, kids, dogs, and even cats - she's a true social butterfly! With her playful spirit and gentle nature, she'll capture your heart and become your loyal best friend.  She loves being around her favorite humans and will often seek out belly rubs. This gentle soul is an absolute delight and can get just about anything she wants when she looks at you with those big brown eyes. She's always up for an adventure, whether that's going for car rides with her head stuck out the window, or snuggling up on the couch for movie nights.  Bailey's Connecticut foster family can't say enough good things about her: 'Bailey has been an absolute joy to foster! She has stolen our hearts - and the hearts of our 5 fur babies. She has had zero accidents in the house! Given that we expect our fosters to have a few mishaps, especially in the first few days, Bailey just goes and shows us again how remarkable she is. She's an extremely bright and well-trained girl. We're obsessed with her! She loves car rides, and even made a special appearance at a track meet, where she quickly became the star attraction. She's an absolute dream dog, and if I didn't think my husband would put me up for adoption, I would have already adopted her.'  This ball of love is medically up to date, crate trained, housebroken, and ready to bring joy to her forever home!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. She's slept through the night and seemed to do well in her crate when we had to leave her for a few hours yesterday. She has typical puppy mischief in her (she loves grabbing shoes and running with them, but she usually drops them when asked.) She can't decide if she wants to play with the big dogs or not. Meet Arlo, a gentle beauty with a heart of gold! Arlo is a 3.5 year old neutered male Husky/German Shepherd mix who is the epitome of a love bug! With his sweet demeanor and affectionate nature, he'll capture your heart in no time. Despite his loving personality, Arlo does have Canine Compulsive Disorder (CCD), a common condition that's easily managed with medication (Fluoxetine aka Prozac - which he has been taking for over a year now, with great success). With the right treatment, he's able to live a happy, healthy life filled with snuggles, playtime, and endless love. But what really sets Arlo apart is his exceptional social skills! He's a natural with other dogs, playing and interacting with them in a gentle and respectful manner. And when it comes to kids, he's a patient and loving companion, always eager to please and gently playful. As for his favorite things, Arlo has a unique love for ice and water! He'll do just about anything for a cold cube or a refreshing splash. And, as a total affection junkie, he thrives on attention and affection from his people. We've learned to successfully manage Arlo's CCD by eliminating triggers such as toys and high-value treats when around other dogs. By being responsible and mindful of his needs, we've never had a single issue. With the right care and attention, Arlo is a happy, well-adjusted, and loving companion. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll be by your side through thick and thin, Arlo is your perfect match. Apply to meet this special boy today! Meet Ribbon, a sweet 6 year old female chihuahua! Ribbon was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN when she was pregnant, and she and 9 other chihuahuas were taken in by Paws Rescue League. Ribbon gave birth to 7 babies on Christmas Day, 12/25/2024. Sadly, they were born premature and only one (Tinsel) survived. Ribbon's milk never came in, so Tinsel was raised by her "auntie" Crystal, who delivered her pups one week later. Ribbon is now ready to find her furever home!  Ribbon is a shy, nervous girl who takes time to warm up to new people. She will need someone to be patient with her and allow her to come to them on her own terms, as she decompresses and learns to trust. She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (or no kids). Ribbon is medically up to date (will be spayed prior to adoption), pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking. She has not yet been tested with cats or kids - she would likely do fine with cats and kids 12+ (prefers peace & quiet). She was also unbothered by the alpacas and chickens she met! She's low key and would love a calm home with some dog beds to snooze on and a person to hangout with, although she does also enjoy short walks and running through the yard. She's a pretty easy pup!  When meeting someone new, she just needs a little bit of time to learn someone's smell before they earn her trust. After she trusts, she craves love and attention, and isn't afraid to ask for it with some gentle nudges. She also doesn't mind being picked up (by someone she knows) and being treated like the princess she is! She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweet little lady today! We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Tom, an adorable chihuahua mix puppy! Currently weighs around 5 lbs (but is still growing).  Tom is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training, exercise, and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. He's been tested with other dogs, cats, and a variety of people and has done very well. Recommended older kids since he's small and fragile. The pups in this litter are sweet, playful, adorable, and love to shower you with kisses! Tom is a real special guy. He's very silly, quirky, loves to get zoomies in the yard, and has been very respectful of his senior foster sister's space. He is just waiting for his perfect home! He is medically up to date, and working on both housebreaking (doing excellent with a combination of pee pads and going outside) and crate training. Apply to meet this adorable guy today! Meet Milkshake, a 2 year old spayed female lab/terrier mix. She weighs around 50 lbs.   Hello! My name is Pevine, but my friends call me "Sweet P!" I'm part of the Highway 68 litter: Genesis, Livingston, Miller, Lantana, Maryetta, Pomona, and Pevine! My brother (Livingston) completed a DNA test, and the results came back as 54% poodle, 12% Australian Cattle Dog, and 10% German Shepherd (see full results in photos). All of the pups in my litter have scruffy coats except for my brother, Miller. We'll probably grow the be medium sized dogs.  These sweet babies were found abandoned in a tote bag on the side of the road in East TN when they were just a few days old 😢 They were named after roads in the area and dubbed the Highway 68 litter. Pevine is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She is a super sweet, loving girl who is so deserving of a furever home of her own (hence the nickname Sweet P)!  She is medically up to date (age appropriate) and mostly housebroken (doing very well!).
