Micaha is a male 13 week old terrier/aussie mix. He is one of 2 puppies who were found with a Stray mom. Mom is feral, meaning she has not been around humans much, and is only used to living outdoors on her own. Mom was caught, and then Micah and Mickeyl were caught. Mom was spayed and vetted. Micah and his brother Mickey are currently in a foster home in TN while they await their vet appointements and get fixed bedore heading to New England to find their forever homes. Micah is an average puppy who likes to play with toys, people and other dogs. He is good with all other dogs and good with children, he is young enough where he should be fine with cats. Both Micah and Mickey are fawn(red) and white colored. Working on crate training and housebreaking, show less

Unfortunately the owner was no longer able to care for Pepper and her siblings and reached out for help. Pepper is a sweet girl who loves people. and other dogs. She enjoys being the center of attnetion, sits for treats, and a sweetheart. Being 1 and half years old she is still very young and still in her puppy phase (or adolescent stage). Harley is a male 13/14 week old Dutch Shepard mix. He was born with a stubbed tail. He came to Paws Rescue as stray. People had found them on the street, with some other dogs, and puppies. They took them in and called our sister resuce down in TN and asked if Paws Rescue League could pay for their vetting and transport them up North. Harley is a typical puppy, learning about the world, and is looking for his perfect people who can love and care for him. We believe he will be a medium to large dog, and on the more active side. An adopter with breed experience is prefered, and a fenced in yard is prefered. show less

She is good with other dogs, shes was in a foster home with 4 other dogs, and a cat and did well. She is good with kids, men and strangers. Leif is a 20 week old Chinook/German Shepard mix. He and his 5 other siblings were found in a neighbors yard. Mom was a stray, and had the puppies on someones property. The owner of the property threatened to shoot the mom. When mom didnt come back for the puppies the good samaratin brought the dogs to our partner in TN. The Spring Litter has been in our rescue, and have been bottle fed since the age of 3 weeks old. Leif is playful, curious and friendly, he gets along with everyone, other dogs, kids and cats. Leif and his siblings are not housebroken and are not crate trained yet. Update: Leif has been with us since he was 3 weeks old, he arrived in New England at 9 weeks old. He has been in a foster home since 9 weeks old, he is now 20 weeks old. He has learned how to go to his crate for a treat, meal. He knows how to sit, and to shake, and he has almost mastered potty training! He will still need help when he is adopted, as his potty spot and routine will change, he will need guidence from his adopter to build on his success! show less

She is good with people of all ages, kids and adults, she is good with other dogs. She has yet to be cat tested, but will be soon. Nanook is a 6 month old puppy, dad is a Great Pryeness and mom is a husky/GSD mix. Nanook was found as a stray with his mom Shiloh, and 3 other siblings, Koda, Mika, and Luna. The mom was a pet at some point of her life, she knows her basic commands, sit, down etc. and is very sweet. The puppies were born outside as strays and were nervous aroung people. We have had them for about a month, and they have done well adjusting in their foster homes, and once they were vaccinated they started going to doggy day care to become more socialized with people and other dogs. Nanook and his siblings are all sweet, playful, and friendly puppies, they can be a bit shy at times. They are good with kids, cats and other dogs. Nanook was adopted on May 13th, at the age of 12 weeks old. The adopter had some issues trying to train Nanook, and he ultimately was returned back to us, for being too playful with their child. Nanook is a 6 month old puppy, and does need some guidence and direction with training. Prior breed experience is prefered.No children, or children older than 12, as he is playful and young and doesnt realize his size, and he loves playing with children, He would make a great hiking, or adventure partner. Nanook has impecable recall, once he gets to know you. And he does know his basic commands. show less

Cerveza is a male 1-2 year old Boxer/hound mix. He was found with a group of other dogs, who were in poor condition and taken. Cerveza sat at animal control to see if an owner would come forward, or anyone wanted to adopt him. No one came for him. Paws Rescue League Inc pulled him from the animal control shelter, and placed him in a loving foster home while he is vetted and gets ready to head to New England to find his furever after! We made a promise to him that he would find the bestest home! Cerveza does well with other dogs, he was good with the dogs he was picked up with and he does good with his new foster siblings. He likes kids, but he is very friendly and gets excited to say hello! So he should be adopted by someone with kids older than 12 or no kids. (He just likes them toooo much, and doesnt realize hes not a chihuahua!) He gets along with people, men and women, he tested fine with everyone he has met! He has not been cat tested as of yet. Once he is we will update his profile. show less

She was very frinedly with everyone at animal control, at the vet office and she immediately made friends with everyone in her TN foster home. She loves kids, and people, and other dogs. She has yet to be cat tested. She has jumped up to say hello and give a kiss to small children. She has been easily corrected, once you tell her no she understands the word! Stitch is a 6 month old male Chihuahua/small terrier mix. Stitch was found as a stray, along side who we assume to be his sister, Lilo and mother Nani. When they were found they were terrified and confused. We dont have much informarion on Stitch and his familys past, but we do know that they all have an amazing future ahead of them! Stitch is looking for his forever family, he is good with other dogs, and children, and cats. They are quite small dogs. He would do well with a family who can be patient with him and give him time to come out of his shell, he will make a great companion or addition to any family! show less

Jed is a 3- 4 year old Treeing walker Coonhound. Jed's prior owners got him to train him to be a hunting dog. When he didnt perform to their liking they dumped him. Jed due to no fault of his own wound up at animal control hoping someone would save him. No one came forward to adopt him, and no rescued saved him. He was at the shelter for over a month. Paws Rescue League and thier partner rescue Alpha Dog TN, pulled Jed from the shelter, got him fixed and vetted and ready to make his way to New England! Jed is now waiting to find his forever home, and a foster home when he arrives up North. Jed is house broken, crate trained, good with other dogs, and plays very well with them, and kids. No cats for this boy. He likes being around his people and walks ok on leash. He is a great boy, he knows most of his commands, and loves to lie around the house and spend time with his family! He loves meeting up with doggy friends and running around the yard or the park. He is a wonderful dog, and hes going to make his new family very happy. show less

Lilo is a 6 month old female Chihuahua/small terrier mix. They are quite small dogs. Lilo was found as a stray, along side who we assume to be her brother, Stitch and mother Nani. When they were found they were terrified and confused. We dont have much informarion on Lilo and her familys past, but we do know that they all have an amazing future ahead of them! Lilo is looking for her forever family, she is good with other dogs, and children, she has yet to be cat tested, but we will work on testing her with cats. She would do well with a family who can be patient with her and give her time to come out of her shell. Puck is estimated to be 3 years old. He is a husky mix, who is all white ( And beautiful!). He was brought from Kentucky and left at a coal mine in Tennessee. Where he wandered around for about a year. There were multiple attempts to catch Puck, but he evaded being caught each time. Covered in coal dust, one day he wandered into a yard where kids were playing and decided he wanted to play with them. The family called our TN partners and told them they had Puck in their yard! Since hes been with the rescue he has been a sweet heart! It is clear that he used to be someones pet, as he knows basic commands and he enjoys affection from people. Currently in TN he enjoys playing at day care and spending time with his foster humans. Puck would do best in a home with a large fenced in yard so he can safely roam. show less

They were nervous at animal control shelter, but were sweet to all the staff. Paws took them into our rescue, and were placed in a foster home for a few weeks while they could be vetted and fixed before heading up to New England to meet their new families. They tested well with other dogs, small children and people. They have yet to be cat tested. Andy and his siblings are estimated to be large breed dogs, so prior experience with large breeds is prefered. Andy would love to have a fenced in back yard to play in. show less

We took Pete and placed him in a TN foster home, so he could be vetted and neutered and make his way up to New England to find his forever family.
