Meet Bessie, the loving mama to the 7 Cowgirl pups (Elsie, Daisy, Clara Bell, Dottie, Ginger, Josie, and Buttercup)! Bessie is a 2 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/small shepherd mix. She is smaller than she looks in pictures, about 30 lbs. She has been a wonderful mama to her babies, but now she's ready to retire from motherhood and find her furever home! Bessie is a sweet, friendly girl who is good with dogs, cats, people, and kids! She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! From Bessie's current foster: "Bessie is such a pretty girl! She is 100% weaned from her babies, she protested the entire process and would nurse them for life if she was allowed to. This sweet girl would make any family the perfect pet. She’s great on a leash, house trained, and crate trained. She’s learning her basic commands and is not always the best at coming when called when she’s running around outside, so a fenced yard or leash walking until she’s more trustworthy would be ideal. She’s good with other dogs, kids and knows no stranger. She will bark at the cat but a firm ‘Bessie NO’ will stop her. She loves cuddles on the couch from any willing human." Meet the Pepper litter: Jalapeño, Bishop, Trinidad, Aji, Tangerine, Ghost, Poblano, Pequin, Scotch Bonnet, and Sweet Bell! They are expected to grow to medium sized dogs. Mama Carolina (wire terrier mix) and her 10 babies were dumped in a tote in 95 degree heat in TN, when they were only days old. This little family was suffering from heat exhaustion when they were taken in by animal control, and Paws Rescue League stepped in and placed mama and babies in a loving foster home to recuperate. Now that day is a distant memory, and the whole family is ready to find their furever homes! From his foster: "Handsome Jalapeño has some beautiful markings and a black lab/wire hair coat. With mom being cream colored and 38 lbs we are guessing he will be a medium sized dog. At 9 weeks, he is crate trained and pad trained and knows it is “good” to go outside. He is calm and social, will follow me around and lick the back of my leg while I am at the kitchen sink. He also likes to sit and observe. He is treat motivated and I think he will be easy to train. Meet Trixie, a super cute 1 year old spayed female chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs! This darling girl is shy at first, but very sweet and loving once she warms up. Trixie gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is crate trained, pad trained, and outdoor potty trained. A 100% good doggo! She is medically up to date and ready to meet her furever family. From her CT foster mom: "I’ve fallen in love with this sweet girl in the short time I’ve had her! She is so precious and well behaved! Trixie is a little shy and reserved at first but she quickly forms bonds with people. We have seen her personality come out when she zooms around and jumps up on the bed for more. She gets along well with all of our dogs and cats. She keeps trying to play with our dogs but she hasn’t quite figured out how to initiate play yet. So far she has been great about going potty outside and she has been quiet in her crate. She even came to work today with me without issue and was very brave meeting new people and was quiet in her crate. I absolutely adore this girl 🥰 . Meet Dallas, a super cute 6-7 month old male poodle/doodle mix, currently weighing about 40 lbs! He is expected to grow to a medium/large dog. Dallas is a happy, playful, goofy boy! He is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, however puppies typically do fine with cats if introduced at a young age. Dallas is a big boy who is still growing and is a bit wobbly on his back legs (see video). He gets around just fine, but is clumsy with his movements. (He has been seen by two vets who were not concerned about this, but in the interest of full disclosure, we did want to mention it). Ronan is son to Mama Taylor Swift who came into our rescue as a pregnant stray. We do not know who dad is, but mom is a medium sized wire-coated Airdale terrier mix (seen here in the pictures) and her babies (her Swifties) are a mix of wire hair, curly hair and flat coat and are ADORABLE! Attached picture of DNA testing shows that the puppies are 46% Poodle, 16% Golden Retriever, 11% Chihuahua and 11% Airdale Terrier. This explains the curly and the wire hair that the puppies have. Ronan has slightly curly wire hair, so it expected to not shed much at all as an adult. He is mainly back with a typical wirehaired terrier adorable beard. He is the biggest pup in the litter and will be probably a larger medium dog when full grown. These puppies are microchipped, are up to date with vaccinations, have no intestinal worms, and are being fostered in a loving CT foster home, by a foster mom who keeps them very clean and well-fed and stimulated. show less

Meet Biggie, the BIG LOVE! Biggie is a 6 month old neutered male terrier/lab/husky mix pup! He currently weighs about 40 lbs and is expected to grow to a medium/large sized dog. Biggie and his siblings were rescued at 4 weeks old after their mom was hit by a car and sadly killed. They have been fostered in TN for the past 4 months, until Paws Rescue League gave them their freedom ride to New England to find their furever homes! All of these pups just love to be loved and are loyal family members. This guy has loved every person and dog he has met! He is good on leash, friendly and well mannered, and just loves going on an adventure. He is crate trained and fully housebroken (may have accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new environment/routine). She gave birth to four beautiful babies that we named after fast cars. There are all now in CT and ready for their forever homes. Ferrari is a laid back pup but loves to play. When he's getting his love he doesn't want any other dog interrupting and will say so. He loves to snuggle and actually cried when we went to bed early the other night because he just wanted to cuddle up (see picture). He likes being held, too! Also not potty trained but using pee pads. He has the cutest white patch on his chest and white toe hairs. He also loves chewing and squeaky toys. Trouble is son to Mama Taylor Swift who came into our rescue as a pregnant stray. We do not know who dad is, but mom is a medium sized wire-coated Irish terrier mix and her babies (her Swifties) are a mix of wire hair, curly hair and flat coat and are ADORABLE! There are 8 puppies in the litter; two females and six males. Trouble is a black wire haired puppy with a small white patch on his chest and the characteristic terrier beard. Valentino is a young male full bred long hair chihuahua puppy, weighing just 2-3 lbs currently. He has the double merle gene, which caused micropathalmia (under developed eyes that are smaller than normal). As a result of this, he is vision impaired, but he does have some vision and is not fully blind Due his small size and vision impairment, we recommend older kids who know to respect a dog's space. This sweet guy is a tiny bundle of joy and is working on housebreaking and crate training. PLEASE NOTE: We are being very careful reviewing applications for this sweet, tiny boy. Meet Mercedes, the loving mama to the Fast Car litter (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Toronado). She is a 2-3 year old spayed female Tibetan Spaniel mix, weighing about 25 lbs! Mercedes was picked up as a stray by animal control when she was heavily pregnant. Paws Rescue League saved her and secured a foster home for her to deliver and wean her babies. Mercedes surprised her new foster mom by delivering her first pup in the car on the drive there! Thus, they were named after fast cars! 🚘 From Mercedes' current foster: "This precious girl Mercedes is a Tibetan spaniel mix about 3 years old and just the best dog ever. She is so sweet.
