Meet Frosty, a super cute 2-3 year old spayed female chihuahua! Frosty was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN, and she and 9 other chihuahuas (several of whom were pregnant) were taken in by Paws Rescue League. They were in a TN foster home for over a month decompressing and learning to trust people. Frosty is now in New England and ready to find her furever home!  Frosty is a shy girl and takes time to warm up to new people, so she will need someone who is patient and gentle with her, and who will work with her on continued socialization. Once you earn her trust, she is a very sweet girl! She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. Frosty is medically up to date, pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking. Apply to meet this darling girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Herman, a super cute 1 year old neutered male Eskimo spitz mix! He is a small guy weighing about 20 lbs. Herman is a friendly pup who gets along with other dogs (with proper intro), people, and older kids 8+ or dog savvy kids (due to the fact that he is still a bit puppy like and can be mouthy - he may unintentionally hurt a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. He is a playful boy who enjoys playing with his person and other dogs with similar energy. From Herman's current foster: "This sweet guy is a total cuddlebug who thrives on affection and companionship. Whether you're hosting a backyard barbecue or enjoying a quiet movie night, Herman is just happy to be part of the action. He’s super friendly, gets along with everyone he meets, and easily matches your energy — whether you're out for a jog or curled up on the couch. Herman is also delightfully quiet... until he decides it’s time to sing! That’s right — he doesn’t bark, he sings! His melodic "roos" are his way of expressing his big emotions, with chart-topping hits like “Stop Working and Look at Me” and “Why Are All the Other Dogs Barking?” If you're looking for a cheerful, affectionate, and hilariously musical companion, Herman is your guy. Come meet him and get ready to fall in love!" Herman is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (may take some time to get used to a new environment/routine) and crate trained. Meet Dodger, the sweetest little wallflower. Dodger is an approx. 1 year old spayed female kelpie/terrier mix! She's the perfect size, not too big and not too small, weighing around 30-35lbs. Dodger is a timid girl who takes some time to warm up to new people. Once she knows you are safe, she is a love! She loves scratches and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and dog savvy cats too! Due to her shy nature, we recommend older kids 8+ who know how to respect a dog's space (or no kids). From Dodger's current foster: "Dodger is a gentle soul with the softest eyes and an even softer heart. She's a quiet, tender girl who is learning that the world isn't so scary after all - with a little patience, kindness, and (let's be honest) ground turkey! Though she was reserved at first and still scurries off if you move too quickly, Dodger has made beautiful progress every single day. Once she trusts you, she'll claim her favorite cozy spot nearby and roll over for belly rubs like it's her love language. She finds comfort in the company of a few special humans and friendly dogs, and will thrive in a peaceful environment where she can feel safe. She's food motivated, sweet-natured, and full of quiet charm. She's not looking for the spotlight, just a calm home where she can blossom at her own pace and be cherished for the loving little companion she truly is." His foster mom is working on helping him lose a few lbs to get him to a healthier weight for his size. Jurgs was surrendered to Paws Rescue League (through no fault of his own) when his owner was no longer able to care for him. His family made sure that he went to a rescue, to be certain Jurgs would find his PAWFECT family! This little guy is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids. He does have a high prey drive and is not good with cats, chickens, or small animals (he thinks they would make a nice snack 😋).  Jurgs' foster describes him as a "happy little ball of energy!". He is a snuggle bug who LOVES to give kisses. He loves tennis balls and walks well on leash. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this sweet boy today! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Daisy is one of the D litter pups (Drake, Daisy, Darcy, Duchess, Dominick, and Demeter), born on 1/31/25. Daisy is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. From her current foster:  "Daisy is such a super sweet, super cute girl! Meet Nikki, a super sweet 1 year old spayed female terrier mix with the best ears! She's a petite lady, weighing about 23lbs.  Nikki is a friendly pup who gets along with everyone - dogs, people, and kids! We assume she would do well with cats. When transitioning to a new home, she will likely need a few days to feel comfortable, as do most dogs, and then will make herself right at home (she is very routine oriented!). She enjoys using her crate as her own personal space when she needs it. She also loves to play with toys and other dogs! She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Meet Bolt, an approx. 1 year old spayed female Aussie mix! She's an awesome size, not too big and not too small, weighing around 25lbs. Due to her shy nature, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. Bolt is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Meet Elsa, a super sweet approx 5 year old female chihuahua who has a heart of gold! Elsa was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN when she was pregnant, and she and 9 other chihuahuas were taken in by Paws Rescue League. Elsa is the loving mama of Axel and Dieter, born on 1/1/25, who have both been adopted. Elsa is ready to follow in their footsteps and find a furever home of her own! Elsa is a shy girl and takes time to warm up to new people, but she wants so badly to love and be loved. She was the absolute best momma to her puppies - she is so patient, loving, and gentle. From her current foster: "Elsa is an absolute doll. I've had her for over a month now and while she is shy to warm up, she is totally worth the wait. She loves cuddling up in bed with a cozy blanket and when you get home, she'll dance with excitement. She will also demand belly rubs at all times so I hope you're ready! She will blossom with a patient adopter who gives her time to build confidence and come to you when she's ready. A perfect, sweet, gentle girl. As you can tell from her pictures, she doesn't mind getting dolled up and wearing cute outfits - she even grabs her pink sweater and brings it to me sometimes, almost like she's asking to put it on. She loves to gently wrestle with other pups, but is very good at ignoring other dogs when she just wants to relax!" She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. Elsa is medically up to date (will be spayed prior to adoption), pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking.
