**SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This cat is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select cats only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! 🐱  Meet Tory, a super cute ~5 month old spayed female kitten! This beautiful torti girl was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. She was placed in a loving foster home with Tiggie, Smoke, and Grayson (not related, but similar aged kittens). They are now in CT and are ready to find their furever homes!  Tory is a sweet girl who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to her furever home! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They are all very playful and sweet kittens, but Smoke and Tiggie are the most outgoing of this group. These cuties are being fostered with a dog and older cat and they get along well with everyone! Young kittens do best in pairs, and two kittens are actually LESS work than one, as they will entertain each other and are less likely to get into mischief! We will prioritize applicants who are looking to adopt 2 kittens, or who already have a young, friendly kitty at home.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Macadamia, an adorable 4 month old female schnauzer/terrier mix puppy with striking blue eyes! She was taken into rescue along with her sisters, Pistachio and Hazelnut. Macadamia currently weighs about 20 lbs and we expect her to grow to a medium sized dog. Macadamia is a super sweet girl who gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids!  She is a happy, playful puppy with the cutest little underbite! Macadamia's tail was broken as a young pup (happens sometimes when mom accidentally step on one of the puppies). It has healed and does not bother her, it just has a little kink in it - which makes her even more unique and special! 💕  Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.  She is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate and house training. **SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Flynn, a super sweet ~ 8 month old neutered male hound mix, currently weighing about 30-35 lbs! He looks like he may have some shepherd in him as well. We don't expect him to get too much bigger. Flynn was found abandoned and alone on the side of the road in east TN when he was about 8 weeks old. He was dehydrated, full of worms, and severely underweight. Fortunately, he was rescued by one of our wonderful TN fosters and nursed back to health. Looking at him now, you would never know that this boy had such a rough start! He has fully recovered and is now ready to find his furever home, where he will be loved and cherished every day!   Flynn is a very sweet, gentle boy. He aims to please and is a total love! He gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested, but we feel he would likely be fine with cats). He enjoys going on walks and playing with his doggo friends. He also loves getting out his zoomies in the yard and then taking a nap with his people afterwards! He is affectionate and loves to give kisses. Although he is still a puppy, he is on the more mellow side and is not super high energy. He is smart, well behaved for a puppy, and very eager to please. He is currently attending obedience classes with his foster mom and doing GREAT - he is very food motivated and trainable! He's a very smart boy who will make his future family very happy. Flynn is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply today to meet this special boy and give him the loving home he so deserves.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Yosemite, a handsome ~6 year old neutered male toy poodle mix, weighing about 10 lbs!   Yosemite was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation in east TN along with several other small poodle mixes, many of whom were in rough shape (matted and unkempt), including one pregnant female. We cleaned up these babies, vetted them, and placed them in loving foster homes, where they have been absolutely THRIVING while learning what life as an indoor, loved dog is all about! Inspired by their beauty, we named this group of pups after National Parks. Yosemite is now being fostered in New England and is ready to find his furever home! Yosemite is a very sweet boy! He is good with people, other dogs, and kids. He has not been cat tested, however we feel he would likely be fine with cats. He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken, and crate trained. Meet Jack, an amazingly sweet 6-8 year old neutered male English Setter mix! This handsome boy weighs about 45 lbs and he is completely blind. Jack was surrendered by his owner after the owner suffered a heart attack and was unable to continue caring for him. Per the owner, he has been blind from birth.  Despite his lack of vison, Jack is a truly joyful boy and he adapts to his surroundings quite well! He can manage a few steps on his own once he learns the layout, but he will likely need to be carried up and down large flights of stairs.  He is a very loving, happy pup who gets along great with other dogs, cats, and people. Due to his blindness, we recommend older/dog savvy kids. From Jack's TN foster:  "This boy is an absolute dream. He has been one of the easiest fosters. Always happy. He has been amazing with all my dogs. I can't imagine Jack ever being mad or angry. He may need help the first few days learning the layout of the yard and house. But Jack now is able to go inside and out and has no trouble going up and down my deck steps. ❤️❤️❤️  He got along fine with the cat at the vet and he has gotten along fine with all my dogs. I cannot imagine Jack having trouble with anything. He is an absolute angel." He is medically up to date and houseboken. Apply to meet this very special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. "To play or to nap, that is the question." Hi! Meet me, Shakespeare, a ~10-12 week old neutered male Aussie mix puppy with a blue merle coat and a heart full of joy. I am a handsome boy, with one blue eye and one brown eye! 👀 As part of the Poet Litter, I guess you're expecting some literacy greatness from me?! Ha! I'm a master of both!  I love everyone I meet, human and furry friend alike, and I'm always up for a good cuddle or play session. I'm still learning about the world, but I know one thing for sure, life is too short to waste on anything but fun and snuggles.  Let's be real here people, I'm still a puppy, I will need some guidance and training to become the best version of myself. I'm eager to learn and please, so I would love a family that is willing to invest some time in teaching me how to be the best boy I can be.  I'm medically up-to-date (age appropriate) and working on crate training. I'm still working on my masterpiece, "The Art of Potty Training"...it is a work in progress. With patience and positive reinforcement, I'll be a pro in no time! What are you waiting for?! "Hope is the thing with fur!" Hey! I'm Emily, a ~10-12 week old spayed female Aussie mix puppy with a blue merle/white coat and a heart full of joy. I have a pink nose that the humans think is super cute! I have to admit, when I was first born, they thought they were getting the actual Emily Dickinson, the poet, not the puppy! But it turns out, I'm more of a "wag my tail and snuggle" kind of poet, rather than a "write sonnets" kind. As part of the Poet Litter, I'm still finding my muse...and it's usually a ball or a squeaky toy! **SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Maybella, a gorgeous spayed female Catahoula mix with the prettiest eyes and blue Merle coloring! She also has the cutest pink speckled nose! She is about 9 months old and is a petite girl, weighing about 25 lbs currently. She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. Maybella is an energetic girl who would love a fenced in yard of her own to get out her zoomies! She is a wonderful companion and would love to join an active individual or family on all their adventures. She would make an excellent running and/or hiking buddy! She is also very smart and extremely food motivated, we think she would be a great candidate for training games and maybe even agility!  Maybella is a friendly girl who gets along with other dogs, people, kids, AND cats. She is very playful with other dogs, however she likes to play a bit rough, which can be too much for some dogs. Because of this, we think she would do best in a home with another young, high energy dog with a similar play style, or as an only dog. Maybella does not like to share food or bones with other dogs (she was very underweight when she was taken into rescue, food possessiveness is common in dogs who were found in starving conditions 😔), but this is easily managed by feeding and giving high value treats separately from other dogs in the home (we always recommend this anyway). From Maybella's current foster:  "Maybella is such a sweet girl! She loves being with me and my other rescues! She travels nicely in the car and sleeps through the night in her crate!" She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this pretty lady today! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Hazelnut, a super sweet ~3-4 month old female schnauzer/terrier mix puppy! She was taken into rescue along with her sisters, Pistachio and Macadamia. Unlike her scruffy schnauzer-looking sisters, Hazelnut has a flat coat and is bigger. It's possible that she has a different dad, or not - sometimes genetics are just weird! Either way, she's a very pretty blue-eyed girl who is an absolute doll! We expect her to grow to a medium sized dog. Hazelnut is a friendly, affectionate pup who gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.  She is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate and house training. Meet Maze, a gorgeous ~4 year old female cairn terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! She came to us with her “brother” Reinhardt.  Maze is a very sweet girl! She loves attention and will follow her humans around the house. She also loves belly rubs and walks nicely on a leash. She is good with people, other dogs, and older kids 8+ (she's a little shy, so unpredictable movements by young kids may make her nervous). She has not been cat tested, but we feel she would likely be fine with cats. She is housebroken (although will likely need some time to get used to the schedule in a new home) and crate trained. She will be getting spayed and medically up to date prior to adoption - we are accepting apps for her now but she’s not *quite* ready to go home yet. Hi, I'm Brock! I'm a ~1 year old neutered male Aussie/Setter mix, weighing about 46 lbs. Once a stray, I'm now ready to find my forever home and put down some roots. I may not know everything about being a perfect pup (leashes are still a work in progress, but I'm getting there!), but I do know that I'd LOVE to have a fenced-in yard of my own where I can run, play, and get out some zoomies! I also love to play fetch, I could fetch all day long! I'm an energetic boy (to be expected for a young, working breed doggo like myself), I would love to join you on your walks/runs/hikes and any other dog-friendly adventures that you might take! I am also very smart - I already know "sit", "down", "stay", and "drop it", and I am eager to learn more.  I am a great student, as long as there are treats involved! (or belly rubs - I will accept belly rubs in lieu of treats!)  I'm a good boy who adores people and dogs alike, and I'm always up for making new friends! I love playing with other dogs, but my energetic, goofy nature might be too much for some dogs. I mean no harm, I just want to be BFFs with everyone! I've never met a cat, so I'm not sure how I feel about them. Despite my rough start, I've got a heart full of love to give, and I'm looking for someone to give me a second chance. I'm medically up-to-date, crate trained, and housebroken. Will you be my hero and give me the loving home I've been dreaming of?! 🐱  Meet Tiggie, Grayson, and Smoke, adorable ~4 month old kittens! These babies were picked up as strays in east TN and were placed in a loving foster home with Tory (not related, but similar aged solo kitten). They are now in CT and are ready to find their furever homes!  Smoke is a neutered male gray and white boy who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to his furever home! He is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Meet Winston, a handsome ~1 year old neutered male Weimaraner/Poodle mix, currently weighing about 50 lbs! We think he is mostly done growing, although he might still fill out a bit.  This scruffy boy is friendly, good natured, and gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Winston is a young, energetic pup who enjoys wrestling with his doggo friends!  He would love to have another young dog to keep him company and to play with. He is a Velcro dog who loves to be near his people, and he does great in the car, so he’d be happy to join you on your adventures!  He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (he does great when on a consistent schedule), and crate trained. Meet Reinhardt, a handsome adult male mini schnauzer, weighing about 13 lbs! He came to us with his “sister” Maze.  Reinhardt is a very sweet guy - a bit reserved with new people but comes around quickly!  He is good with people, dogs, and older kids (has done well with all ages, but would do best in a quieter environment). He hasn’t been cat tested yet.  He is mostly housebroken (some marking, however he has just recently been neutered, which will likely reduce this behavior), and crate trained. He was also neutered and received a dental cleaning. We were told he is 4yrs old, although his dental records suggest he may be older (could be due to poor nutrition as well).
