Mikey is a handsom German Shepard Dog, Border Collie mix, who was born to a mom dog, of a person who was neglectful and abusive. Mikey was saved from that situation at just a few weeks old by some caring people. We were asked to help take Mikey into rescue, which we were more than happy to do. Mikey has been being fostered with his rescuer since he was a few weeks old. Mikey is now a happy healthy, smart 4 and half old puppy! His foster says he is very sweet, and laid back, calm puppy. That you would never know he was a puppy if she didnt know how old he was. He knows his basic commands, and is perfecting his potty training, he about 90% trained, only having accidents very rarely. He likes his crate, and sleeps well in it. He walks good on leash. He is up to date on all his vaccines, and is neutered and microchiped. Mikey gets along with everyone, all dogs, all people, including young children, and cats as well! He would love to have a fenced in yard to run around in, or a family to go on hikes with. Mikey will grow to be a large dog (think German Shepard sized). Mikey is currently looking for his furever home in New England. show less

He tested good with other dogs of all sizes, and children, as well as cats. George Bailey is a seriously sweet pup! He is between 1-2 years old, Blue tick hound, he is about 40lbs. He loves affection and attention from his people. He gets along well with dofs of all sizes and ages. He is crate trained ( but not a fan of the crate, and we dont blame him!), he is housebroken, and takes correction well. He loves to lay around on the couch and nap or play with the other pups, or kids in the home. He has the most soulful eyes, and most adorable face! Trick is a male, English Setter/Anatolian mix, about 18 weeks old. Trick is a love bug just like his sister Treat! He loves to give hugs and cuddle, loves attention, but plays well by himself just chewing on a toy. He is doing amazing at potty training, he does his best to alert his foster when he needs to go potty. He is doing great on leash walking, and he sleeps well in the crate at night but also sleeps well outside of his crate. He is great with other dogs, cats and children! Trick and his 2 siblings Treat, and Hazel were found as 8 week old puppies along side 5 more of their siblings. They were picked up by animal control and taken to their shelter. Over the course of 2 months, most of the 8 puppies had been adopted, or saved by rescues. 3 puppies remained. Animal control reached out to Paws Rescue League inc and asked us if we could take the 3 puppies, as they had no place for them in the shelter. We saved Trick and Treat and Hazel, got them cleaned up and in foster homes where they can feel safe and comfrotable. They are typical 4 month old puppies, with puppy behaviors. Trick, Treat and Hazel are going to be big dogs. They appear to be re half Anatolian Shepard, and half english setter. Both breeds are working type breeds, and will need families who can mentally stimulate them, as well as provide plety of physical activity. Nikkie is a 1.5 year old female, german shepard mix, she is on the larger size. Nikkie is good with kids, and other dogs she is sweet and affectionate. She is crate trained, house broken, and knows some of her commands. She is very excited to meet her new family! She was abandoned by her previous owners, and was wandering the streets for some time, she was found as a stray and brought to animal contril and placed on a stray hold, Paws Rescue League pulled her the day before she was euthanized. Nikkie was so happy to break out of the shelter and get to her TN foster home! She is now in New England and can not wait to find her new family! Nikki is very good with cats, she doesnt mind them whatsoever. She would do perfect in a home with a cat(s). She likes to say hi at the initial meeting with them, but after that she just walks passed them! She is good with kids of all ages, we suggest children 4 and up only because of her size (medium - large dog). She is good with other dogs, loves to play with them outside, in the yard or at a park, but she would be happiest if she could live in a single dog household! She wants all your attention and affection, and doesnt want to share. She can also be nervous that she will be left again, which we can understand given her history. She is spayed and UTD on all her required vaccines, and monthly preventatives. She is an absolute sweetheart and deserves to find a family who will love her! show less

Mocha is a 1 year old female catahoula leopard dog. She is spayed,HW negative, and up to date on all of her vaccines, and monthly preventaties. She is good with other dogs, and all children, and people. She is currently in a foster home with cats, and her foster family says she is good with cats. She is crate trained, and house broken and walks well on leash. She is also familiar with a few of her basic commands, like sit and down. Mocha loves playing with toys, and napping on the couch. She is on the smaller side of a medium dog, weighing in at just under 30lbs at the time of intake. She is a sweet girl and would love a family of her own. show less

Dooley is a male Canaan dog, Jack russle terrier mix. He is sweet as can be. He loves spending time with people, and hes very laid back. He was rescued by Paws Rescue League from a shelter that tries not to euthanize dogs if they can avoid it. Dooley was in their shelter for months. He watched as other dogs were picked up by their owners, or get new adopters, or rescues came for them. No one came for Dooley. We saw this little guys picture and knew we had to get him out of the shelter and into a forever home. To say Dooley was thankful to get out of the shelter is an understatement. He was so happy, his tail would not stop wagging, he was smiling and so very happy! He is currently in a foster home with 5 other dogs, shelties, and Bichons and he does wonderful with them all! He is good with all people, and kids. He has a submissive personality with other dogs, if a dog takes something from him he doesnt mind. Dooley is going to make an amazing additon to any family! show less

Maple is a 10 - 12 month old, female catahoula husky mix. Her and her sister Honey were found wondering the streets together. Paws Rescue League took both Maple and Honey into our rescue. Maple got her name, because her and honey were found on a street called Maple Lane. Maple is spayed, and UTD on all required vaccines, she is Heartworm Negative, and she is current on her monthly preventatives, and flea and tick preventatives. She is crate trained, and house broken. Loves people, and loves to play with other dogs. Her past foster homes had cats, and she was noted to not pay them any attention.In one home she didnt even know there were cats! Maple is currently in a foster home in New England while she awaits her perfect furever family to find her, and adopt her! Maple has great recall, she walks well onleash and off leash. She enjoys hikining, and going for walks and taking in the beautiful fall scenery! If you are looking for a loyal, best friend who will love being at your side, Maple is the dog for you! She is still young and would be easy to learn your routine, and to continue on her training. While she is young, she is also old enough, where she is passed the puppy behaviors of teething, and house training! Seriously we dont know how this beautiful girl hasnt found her furever home yet! show less

Salem was found wandering the streets alone, at the bery young age of 8 weeks old. He was brought to animal control and placed on a "Stray Hold". This gives the dog 3 days for its owner to come forward and claim the dog, if an owner does not come forward, and a rescue or new adopter doesnt save the dog, the dog will be euthanized after 3 days. Paws Rescue League pulled this baby from the shelter, and at the end of the 3 day stray hold our foster volunteer picked him up and took him home. He was so happy to be near a person, he was obviously very lonely in the animal control kennel by himself. He immediately climbed on his foster moms lap and slept on her the whole ride. Salem is now on his way to New England to find his furever home! He is arounf 9/10 weeks old, we believe he is a patterdale terrier/lab mix. We guess he will grow to be around 40lbs full grown. Salem is good with other dogs, and with children and all people. He would do well in any home. He has typical puppy behaviors, and learning potty training and crate training. show less

Stella is about a year and a half old Plott hound/Cur mix. She is a sweet girl, who can be shy at first. She is Spayed, and UTD on all her required vaccines, and monthly preventatives. She is around 55lbs (at her last appt), and considered a large sized dog. Stella loves her people and loves to be around them whenever she can. She would make an excellent hiking partner. Stella would do best in a home with an experienced adopter, and in a single pet household. She is good with people, and children over 10 years old. She can be nervous around younger children. Paws Rescue League first learned of Stella around March/April of 2021, her original owners had dumped her at the vet and never came back for her. The vet called Paws Rescue League, (she is the same vet we use for our rescue dogs.) and asked if we would take Stella, we made arrangemtns to take in the then 9 month old Stella. We were later notified that a client of the vet asked to adopt her. Stella was adopted to the client, and now about 7 months later she is being surrendered. We dont know much about her life between birth to 9 months old or why her family left her at the vet and never returned. She was described as a very sweet and loving pup by the vet. With her second owner, she was not getting adequate exercise, or mental stimulation, and also did not walk her on leash or crate train her, because of the lack of proper exercie she has become stressed in her home and the adopters have decided they arent able to take care of her properly. Stella is used to being given up on, we wont give up on her! She deserves to find a family who will love her and care for her, and provide daily exercise and continue with her training, show less
