The time is now to bring home your new furry family member!! Chura and her littermates were saved from a hoarding situation. The owner had over 25 chihuahuas in the home. We at PRL took in some of them, while other rescues took in the others. Chura is 3 years old, fully vetted and healthy. She's fixed, up to date on all shots and heartworm negative. Chura's CT forster mom says that she's very friendly and gets along with the resident dogs. She likes to follow you around and will make a great lap dog! show less

The time is now to bring home your new furry family member!! Meet Nova Lee, a beautiful 7 months old spayed female border collie/lab mix! She weighs 54 lbs and is full grown. Nova Lee is a very sweet girl who can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is super friendly. She is quite smart (as most border collies are), she knows basic commands and walks wonderfully on leash. From Nova Lee's New England foster: "Nova Lee is the sweetest girl! She is an extremely submissive dog. We have two other dogs in our house and she loves both of them. Once she warms up to you, be prepared for lots of love and the cutest head tilts. We are truly already in love with her." Nova Lee is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. show less

**MARCH MUTT MADNESS ADOPTION SALE*** For the month of March, all mixed breed dogs have a reduced adoption fee! All adopt fees will be reduced by $100 from what is listed on our website. The time is now to bring home your new furry family member!! Momma Barista was saved by Paws Rescue League Inc, the day before Christmas along with a dog she came in with (Ringo). She was HEAVILY pregnant, about to pop! Unfortunately the animal control center was closed for Christmas, as are most places. We were notified that she had delivered 9 babies on the morning of 12/26/23! We had a wonderful volunteer who jumped into action to help get Barista and her 8 surviving babies picked up from the shelter and delivered to her amazing foster momma! We had decided to name the 8 babies after coffee theme, and welcomed Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte Love, Java, Macchiato, Espresso, Chai, and Bean! Barista unfortunately had picked up a bacterial infection, that 2 of the remaining babies caught and their bodies and immune system were too weak to fight off the infection. Latte Luv and Java sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. The remaining 6 babies were seen by the vet, prescribed antibiotics, and their foster mom made sure they got antibiotics 2 times a day to make sure they would survive. Along with constant care, and feedings and plenty of TLC over the course of 6 weeks. The remaining pups fought off the infection, and grew like weeds over the next few weeks in their foster moms careful care! They are now 8 weeks old and have clean bills of health, and are ready to head north to New England to find their furever homes! Mocha is a male shepherd/husky mix pup, expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is crate trained and working on housebreaking. Mocha is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone he meets and is eager to learn! Good with all animals and people, and kids. show less

Meet the 3 "Lover Boy" puppies, 4 month old Adonis, Casanova, and Romeo! These boys are pure bred border collie mix pups were dumped at animal control in East TN on 2/1 by a border collie breeder. Due to severe overcrowding, owner surrender dogs in this area are given 24 hours to be adopted or pulled by rescue, before they are at risk for euthanasia. Paws Rescue League stepped in and pulled all 3 pups and placed them into a loving foster home, to await their freedom ride to New England. A couple of days after being in their TN foster home, one of the puppies started to have watery stool late at night, and by the next morning all 3 refused to eat or drink. Their amazing TN foster mom got them to the vet first thing in the morning, where all 3 puppies tested positive for parvo. Parvovirus is a very serious illness that often results in death in young puppies if treatment is not begun immediately (even with treatment, it's only a 50/50 chance that a puppy will pull through this awful virus). Fortunately, it was caught early in this case and treatment was effective. All 3 Lover Boys have fully recovered and are now healthy and thriving, and are now in New England waiting to find their furever homes! Romeo is a 2 month old male pure border collie, weighing about 20 lbs currently. He is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone. Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is crate trained and working on perfecting potty training. show less

Panamera is a gorgeous girl with merle coloring and striking blue eyes, weighing about 24 lbs currently. She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. She is spayed, medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Panamera is described by her CT foster mom as "super sweet and friendly"! She is good with other dogs, all people, and kids. Lola is an 8 year old female chihuahua mix, weighing 6 lbs. She came from the hoarding case in TN, along with Sissi, Salah, Pepper, Solana, Freddie, and Elvis. Lola is a shy, sweet girl who is learning to trust people and accept love and affection for probably the first time in her life. She is crate trained, pad trained, and outdoor potty trained. She has not been fixed yet, but will be spayed soon by our rescue. Good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, however we feel she would likely do fine with cats. Like most senior girls, she has cloudy eyes, which has made her vision impaired, but that doesn't stop her from seeing the good in people. Mayor is one of 11 puppies born to Momma Sally. Sally was saved from the KILL SHELTER in the middle of October 2023. She was heavily pregnant about to burst. Sally gave birth to 11 healthy puppies the next day. Whom we named the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, as they arrived JUST before Halloween, and they would be ready for their FURever homes JUST before Christmas! Mayor is a sweet, playful, happy pup! She is housebroken, crate trained and good on a leash! Mayor loves all people, dogs, cats, and kids! Her momma Sally is about 40lbs, we expect these pups to grow to be about that size as well, a medium size. We have her DNA results as well that list her as 44% Austrailian Cattle Dog, 44% Mountain Cur and 10% Hound which equals, 100% amazing and sweet! Princess Chicken Nugget (affectionately known as Nuggie) is a super sweet young spaniel mix who is searching for her furever home! Nuggie weighs about 22 lbs and is great with other dogs, all people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She has had a recent Xray done due to a limp she had when she came into our care (2/15/2024). Vet suspects an old injury (car accident or abuse) where a couple of the bones didn't heal properly and possibly due to that broke her tibia recently. *She is 100% fine and will live a normal life.* She just may have a limp. Currently on brace to rebuild leg muscle, but vet says she is doing well. From Nuggie's New England foster: "Nuggie is sweet, even tempered, food motivated. Great snuggly dog. Perfect for any family or single person. Extremely kind with people and other dogs. Has been kid tested and good with kids all ages. Knows SIT, DOWN, BEDTIME and COME." Sully is an incredibly handsome CKC full bred adult fixed, male pomerianian who came to us as an owner surrender. The owner did not have time for him or his sister, Emmie, anymore. Their parents are pure bred registered Poms. Sully has a soft coat, and loves to be held. He's friendly and sweet. He'd be great in any household that loves to hold and snuggle their dogs. He's pad trained, crate trained, and good with other dogs, but he's more of a people person. He knocks on the door when he needs to go out for potty time.
