Meet the Pepper litter: Jalapeño, Bishop, Trinidad, Aji, Tangerine, Ghost, Poblano, Pequin, Scotch Bonnet, and Sweet Bell! They are expected to grow to medium sized dogs. Mama Carolina (wire terrier mix) and her 10 babies were dumped in a tote in 95 degree heat in TN, when they were only days old. This little family was suffering from heat exhaustion when they were taken in by animal control, and Paws Rescue League stepped in and placed mama and babies in a loving foster home to recuperate. Now that day is a distant memory, and the whole family is ready to find their furever homes! Pequin is a typical happy, playful puppy who love everyone! Good with dogs, cats, kids, and all people. He is medically up to date (not yet neutered), and working on crate training and housebreaking. From Pequin's foster: "Pequin is feeling more at home. Cubby and his siblings were rescued at 4 weeks old after their mom was hit by a car and sadly killed. They have been fostered in TN for the past 4 months, until Paws Rescue League gave them their freedom ride to New England to find their furever homes! All of these pups just love to be loved and are loyal family members. From Cubby's current foster: "Cubby is a super sweet, happy, friendly boy who loves everyone! He is very social and wants to stop to say hi to every person and dog we pass on walks. He LOVES other dogs and he adores kids! He is a smart boy who is very treat motivated and just wants to please, so he should be easy to train! He knows "sit" and "down" so far and he picked them both up very quickly. He is not a huge fan of the crate, but he is learning that crate time = special tasty treats! Cubby is a really good boy and would make a wonderful family dog!" She gave birth to four beautiful babies that we named after fast cars. There are all now in CT and ready for their forever homes. Porsche is the "tough guy" of the group (at a whopping 5 lbs haha). He loves to tell you exactly what he is thinking but has also learned to be a sweet boy now. He is so fast and loves to rough house with everyone, even mom. We do not know who dad is, but mom is a medium sized wire-coated Irish terrier mix and her babies (her Swifties) are a mix of wire hair, curly hair and flat coat and are ADORABLE! There are 8 puppies in the litter; two females and six males. Summer has a little white on her chin and on her chest. She is fluffy and soft (and oh, so, sweet!). We do not expect her to shed much as an adult due to her coat type. She will be a medium sized dog like her mama. We took her in and gave her a safe, warm place for her to birth her 8 babies (her Swifties: Lavender Haze, Robin, Karma, Trouble, (Cruel) Summer, August, Archer, and Ronan). She has a wirey coat and is a medium sized lady weighing 32 lbs (don't judge her on her new mom bod lol... she'll be back in tip top shape as soon as her babies have been fully weaned) and she is SO SWEET!! She loves to be pet and is so incredibly beautiful with her adorable characteristic terrier beard. She barely sheds and is fully housebroken. She is being fostered in a CT foster home currently with another dog and a cat and gets along with them both. She is weaning her babies, which will be 8 weeks by July 17th. After they have been weaned she's looking for the house with da couch to spend her days, relaxing and loving with her family. She is high energy and would love a fenced in yard of her own to run around and get out her zoomies! She has not been cat tested, however due to her high prey drive we would not recommend a home with cats. She loves kids, however we recommend older kids 8+ due to herding tendencies typical of her breed (she may try to herd small children, which may scare them although she means no harm).
