Meet Pawley, a super handsome 1.5 year old neutered male wire terrier mix, weighing about 45 lbs!  This scruffy guy is very friendly and is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is very good natured and gets along with everyone. He is an energetic boy who would love a fenced in yard of his own and maybe a doggo sibling to keep him company! He loves to throw a ball or stuffy up in the air and chase it all over! How could you not fall in love with this sweet boy?! Pawley is medically up to date and housebroken. He does have a bit of separation anxiety and is not a fan of the crate, so he would do best with someone who works from home or who can take their dog to work with them. Apply to meet this sweet boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Bug, an adorable 3 month old mixed breed male puppy from the "B" litter, born to the lovely mama October (52 lb lab mix). We expect these pups to grow to medium sized dogs.  October was found with her 6 newborn puppies under floor boards inside an abandoned house in east TN. Over 25 dogs were rescued from this property, having been left to fend for themselves 😢 (sadly, this type of situation is not uncommon in this area). Although the B litter had a tragic start, you wouldn't know it - as they are typical happy, friendly puppies who love everyone! These resilient pups are ready to put their pasts behind them and find their furever homes!  Bug is a super sweet boy who gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids!  Young puppies are like blank slates - with proper training and socialization, they will grow into wonderful dogs.  He is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate and house training. **SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Reishi, the 1.5-year-old dachshund/min pin mix with a heart of gold and a spirit of adventure! This charming pup hails from Tennessee, where he survived a hoarding case and proved to be a resilient little soul. Now, he's looking for his forever home, where he'll shower his humans with affection, snuggle up for Netflix binges, and steal hearts with his goofy antics. Reishi is as fascinating as he is adorable. Did you know that his namesake, the Reishi mushroom, is known for its extraordinary healing properties and ability to boost the immune system? Much like his fungal counterpart, our Reishi is a bundle of energy and joy, spreading positivity wherever he goes. From the man himself:  "I'm looking for a peaceful home where I can thrive - that means no tiny humans, please! I'm not exactly a fan of chaos, and kids can be, well, a bit much. Dog siblings, on the other hand, are totally my thing. If you're a laid-back human who can provide a calm environment and plenty of belly rubs, let's be besties!" By adopting Reishi, you'll not only gain a loving companion, but you'll also provide this special boy a second chance at a happy life. I'm the perfect addition to any family recipe, I add a little flavor and a whole lot of love! 💗  The best part? I've got the best mom in the whole world, Sugar! She's taught me everything I know about being smart and loving. I'm good with dogs, kids, and probably even cats! I'm still a puppy though, so I will require a little patience and training to set me up for success.  I'm medically up to date, crate trained, and I've worked really hard on house training. Hi, I'm Toby Bear! I'm a gentle soul, a 3 year old mixed breed who's still finding my footing in the world. My past hasn't been easy. I came from a place where there were too many of us, and not enough love to go around. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people and places, but with patience, love, and understanding, I'm learning to trust and feel safe.  I crave love, kindness, and companionship. I'm good with other dogs, and I love having friends to hang out with, as long as we take things slow. I'd do best in a home with older kids who understand my shy side.  I'm medically up to date, and neutered. If you're willing to offer me patience, love, and a second chance, I'll reward you with loyalty, snuggles, and a heart full of gratitude. I know what it means to be overlooked, but I'm ready to be seen, loved, and cherished. Will you be my forever home?  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Hi, I'm Willow! I'm a ~1 year old spayed female poodle/doodle sweetheart who loves two things in life: snuggling and playtime! There's nothing better than curling up in someone's lap and gazing up at them with adoring eyes. Don't worry, I'm still lapdog size at 50 lbs, at least I think so. I also love to run around and play with my furry friends. I am happiest around other dogs and am hoping that my furever home will include a doggo sibling(s) to play with! I'm a social butterfly (or should I say, social pup?) and thrive on companionship. When I'm with other dogs, I'm in my element, and I even learn from them. Some of my best friends right now are Staffies, I just can't get enough of those adorable faces! As for cats....well, I'm not really sure about those guys. I've never really met one, so I'd need a slow introduction and some patience from my new family. My TN foster says I'm halfway housebroken, and I'm getting there. I love using my pee pads, but I'm still learning to go outside exclusively. I'm super smart and treat motivated, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it with some consistency and tasty rewards. Don't worry if I bark a little, it's just my way of saying, "Let's play!" or "Hey, I'm excited!" When I'm around my pack, I'm quiet and good as gold. I'm medically up to date, which I think means the vet poked me enough times and gave me some yummy treats afterward. I'm not really sure what it means, but if it makes my humans happy, I'm good! I'm crate trained and do well in my crate when I'm not with my favorite humans or furry friends. I even snuggle up and sleep soundly on my favorite human's bed. I am excited to start a new adventure, and I'm excited to meet my forever family!  **Willow will be available at our adoption event on October 5, 2025 at Petco in Dayville, CT. Please note: only pre-approved adopters are able to adopt directly from events.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! 🐱  Meet Tiggie, Grayson, and Smoke, adorable ~4 month old kittens! These babies were picked up as strays in east TN and were placed in a loving foster home with Tory (not related, but similar aged solo kitten). They are now in CT and are ready to find their furever homes!  Grayson is a spayed female gray and white cutie who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to her furever home! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They are all very playful and sweet kittens, but Smoke and Tiggie are the most outgoing of this group. These cuties are being fostered with a dog and older cat and they get along well with everyone! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

**SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This cat is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select cats only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! 🐱  Meet Tory, a super cute ~5 month old spayed female kitten! This beautiful torti girl was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. She was placed in a loving foster home with Tiggie, Smoke, and Grayson (not related, but similar aged kittens). They are now in CT and are ready to find their furever homes!  Tory is a sweet girl who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to her furever home! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They are all very playful and sweet kittens, but Smoke and Tiggie are the most outgoing of this group. These cuties are being fostered with a dog and older cat and they get along well with everyone! Young kittens do best in pairs, and two kittens are actually LESS work than one, as they will entertain each other and are less likely to get into mischief! We will prioritize applicants who are looking to adopt 2 kittens, or who already have a young, friendly kitty at home.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Macadamia, an adorable 4 month old female schnauzer/terrier mix puppy with striking blue eyes! She was taken into rescue along with her sisters, Pistachio and Hazelnut. Macadamia currently weighs about 20 lbs and we expect her to grow to a medium sized dog. Macadamia is a super sweet girl who gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids!  She is a happy, playful puppy with the cutest little underbite! Macadamia's tail was broken as a young pup (happens sometimes when mom accidentally step on one of the puppies). It has healed and does not bother her, it just has a little kink in it - which makes her even more unique and special! 💕  Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.  She is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate and house training. Apply to meet this special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. **SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Flynn, a super sweet ~ 8 month old neutered male hound mix, currently weighing about 30-35 lbs! He looks like he may have some shepherd in him as well. We don't expect him to get too much bigger. Flynn was found abandoned and alone on the side of the road in east TN when he was about 8 weeks old. He was dehydrated, full of worms, and severely underweight. Fortunately, he was rescued by one of our wonderful TN fosters and nursed back to health. Looking at him now, you would never know that this boy had such a rough start! He has fully recovered and is now ready to find his furever home, where he will be loved and cherished every day!   Flynn is a very sweet, gentle boy. He aims to please and is a total love! He gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested, but we feel he would likely be fine with cats). He enjoys going on walks and playing with his doggo friends. He also loves getting out his zoomies in the yard and then taking a nap with his people afterwards! He is affectionate and loves to give kisses. Although he is still a puppy, he is on the more mellow side and is not super high energy. He is smart, well behaved for a puppy, and very eager to please. He is currently attending obedience classes with his foster mom and doing GREAT - he is very food motivated and trainable! He's a very smart boy who will make his future family very happy. Flynn is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply today to meet this special boy and give him the loving home he so deserves.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Yosemite, a handsome ~6 year old neutered male toy poodle mix, weighing about 10 lbs!   Yosemite was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation in east TN along with several other small poodle mixes, many of whom were in rough shape (matted and unkempt), including one pregnant female. We cleaned up these babies, vetted them, and placed them in loving foster homes, where they have been absolutely THRIVING while learning what life as an indoor, loved dog is all about! Inspired by their beauty, we named this group of pups after National Parks. Yosemite is now being fostered in New England and is ready to find his furever home! Yosemite is a very sweet boy! He is good with people, other dogs, and kids. He has not been cat tested, however we feel he would likely be fine with cats. He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy and give him the second chance he so deserves! Meet Jack, an amazingly sweet 6-8 year old neutered male English Setter mix! This handsome boy weighs about 45 lbs and he is completely blind. Jack was surrendered by his owner after the owner suffered a heart attack and was unable to continue caring for him. Per the owner, he has been blind from birth.  Despite his lack of vison, Jack is a truly joyful boy and he adapts to his surroundings quite well! He can manage a few steps on his own once he learns the layout, but he will likely need to be carried up and down large flights of stairs.  He is a very loving, happy pup who gets along great with other dogs, cats, and people. Due to his blindness, we recommend older/dog savvy kids. From Jack's TN foster:  "This boy is an absolute dream. He has been one of the easiest fosters. Always happy. He has been amazing with all my dogs. I can't imagine Jack ever being mad or angry. He may need help the first few days learning the layout of the yard and house. But Jack now is able to go inside and out and has no trouble going up and down my deck steps. ❤️❤️❤️  He got along fine with the cat at the vet and he has gotten along fine with all my dogs. I cannot imagine Jack having trouble with anything. He is an absolute angel." He is medically up to date and houseboken. Apply to meet this very special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
