Meet Bob, an adorable 9-week-old pup from the "B" litter, born to the lovely October. He's already stolen hearts with his happy and friendly personality, loving everyone he meets. Bob gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids, making him a perfect addition to many families. As a young puppy, Bob is like a blank slate - with proper training and socialization, he'll grow into a wonderful dog. This adorable pup is medically up-to-date, and working on crate training and house training.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Buck, a 1 year old extra large, extra sweet neutered male poodle/Doodle mix! This big guy weighs about 100 lbs - we think he is pretty much full grown, although he may still fill out a little bit more. Buck and his sister Molly were surrendered to Animal Control in east TN (an overcrowded kill shelter) when their owner could no longer care for them. PRL took them into rescue and they are now in New England and ready to find their furever homes!  Buck is a happy, friendly gentle giant who is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ (since he’s a big boy and not fully aware of his size, he may intentionally knock over small children). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Meet Bear, a super sweet 9 year old neutered male purebred miniature schnauzer, weighing about 25 lbs! Bear was surrendered by his owners when they were unable to continue caring for him (through no fault of his own). They wanted to ensure that he went to a good home, so they chose to surrender him to our rescue. (Note: he was recently shaved due to matting, so he looks a little funny right now while his coat is growing back).  This distinguished senior gentleman may be on the older side, but he's got lots of life left in him! He is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with everyone (dogs, people, kids - not cat tested, but we feel he would likely be fine with cats). He is lower energy and generally ready for a nap at all times, but he does enjoy joining you on adventures as well (he recently visited the beach for the first time and loved going in the water!). Bear loves to sunbathe on the porch and chase birds in the yard (but he is a terrible hunter, he's just curious about them!). He is excellent in the car and will happily look out the window the whole time. Fun fact: he will stand on his hind legs to give hugs! 🤗  From Bear's current foster:  "Bear is an AWESOME dog. He’s very affectionate with me and likes snuggling up, but he isn’t clingy. Wants to know where I am and follows me around the house/yard/property, but if I close the door to my office he doesn’t whine when he can’t see me. He loves my yard and sunbathing on the porch, but I think would be fine in an apartment. No trouble with stairs. He will let out an occasional bark when he hears one of his foster siblings, but he is generally quiet.  He can be a bit persnickety when it comes to baths, ear cleaning, nail trimming - does a growl but not aggressive and let me get it done. I also took his temp a few times when he was having some stomach upset, and he let me know he wasn’t pleased but, again, let me get it done. He’s a very special dog." Bear is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! Meet Mickey, an absolutely adorable ~4 month old male terrier/chihuahua mix puppy! He currently weighs about 18-20 lbs and is expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  Mickey is a happy, friendly boy who loves everyone! Great with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, but puppies typically do fine with cats if introduced at a young age. From Mickey's current foster:  "This puppy is an absolute sweetheart! Mickey!!! He looks at you, and your heart melts! Super friendly and lovable. He walks great on a leash and stays around when playing with my dog outside. He has had no accidents in the house and is doing fantastic with potty training.  He LOVES squeaky stuffed animals! My other fosters love to play with him too. He just wants to be cuddled and loved and he will reward you with tons of kisses lol. He has a great personality, silly boy who hops around and does the one paw high five. 🩵🩵🤍💙💙" Mickey is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (although he is still young, so will likely have accidents during a transition to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Meet Molly! She's a super sweet and friendly ~1 year old spayed female poodle mix weighing about 60 lbs! Don't let her size scare you away, she's a gentle giant! If you're lookin' for a goofy, tail waggin' best friend, this girlie is the one for you! Molly is the perfect mix of active and chill - she's ready for a walk or a hike, but afterwards is also content to snooze for a bit or put herself in her crate for some quiet time. Her soulful eyes will hypnotize you with just one gaze!  This silly girl thinks she is a lap dog, and all she wants to be next to you with her head in your lap 🥰  Molly and her brother, Buck, were surrendered to Animal Control in east TN (an overcrowded kill shelter) when their owner could no longer care for them. PRL took them into rescue and they are now in loving foster homes and ready for families to call their own!   Molly LOVES people, kids, and dogs (has not been cat tested), and she just wants to be friends with everyone she meets! She is a gentle and loving girl, but she's still a clumsy young pup and doesn't know her size. Due to this, we recommend older kids 6+ as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. From Molly's current foster:  "Molly has come out of her shell SO much in such a short time. She loves her walks on the leash. We taught her the commands, "sit", "down", and "off". She is so smart and eager to please! She has been docile and loving with our two kids, and she has been a polite playmate for our 3 yr old male Schnauzer mix. She hasn't had ANY accidents in the house, and she loves going into her crate to relax. She loves belly rubs, and will put her paw on your hand if you dare to stop petting her. Also, I am mildly allergic to dog fur/dander and she hasn't made me sniffle once. She is a great girl with so much love to give!" Molly is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. A 100% good doggo who can't wait to meet her furever family! Meet Rocko, a handsome ~2-year-old neutered male Treeing Tennessee Brindle (yes it's a real breed, Google it!)/cur with a heart of gold! Weighing about 55 pounds, this sweet boy has a gorgeous brindle coat and big brown eyes that are full of love and hope.  Rocko is a gentle soul who thrives on attention and affection, loving nothing more than being by your side. He would happily snuggle with his favorite person (or people) for hours! He is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of dogs, people, and older kids (as he is clumsy and not aware of his size, and he may unintentionally knock over smaller children).  This friendly boy would love to join you on brewery trips, hikes, and all your adventures! But he is also happy to stay home and keep it low key. From Rocko's current foster:  "Hi, I’m Rocko, and my foster family can’t believe I haven’t been adopted yet 🤔 they say my personality is a 10/10! Everyone who meets me loves me and I love them too❣️ I’m about 2 years old but I still think I’m a little baby. I love to sit on laps and cuddle. People say I’m too big to be a lap dog at 55 lbs, but if I fits I sits! I am a chill guy and I am not at all interested in fetching or wrestling with my dog friends. I am more about couch sitting, sunshine napping 🌞, and sometimes playing with my toys. I like to be a shadow to my people and keep them company. I also love walks, chomping on ice 🧊, and any and all treats. And again, I can’t overstate my love of cuddling, it’s my top priority in life! Sure, I still need some training with walking politely on the leash and keeping my paws on the ground when I am excited or want to see what the humans are eating. But I’m still kind of a baby, and my foster mom said I learned sit, down, and paw very fast! She also said I was an absolute angel for my bath and brush.  I didn’t get the best start in life because I was a stray dog and got very, very hungry and a little scared. I was caught and put in the kill shelter, but Paws saved me. Now I’m ready for my happily-ever-after!🌈 Could it be with you? Let’s meet and find out!"  -Rocko Rocko is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! 🐱  Meet Pepper, a gorgeous ~15 week old (as of 7/28) spayed female Ragdoll/siamese kitten! This blue eyed beauty was taken in from a backyard breeder in east TN when she was about 5 weeks old, along with her two siblings Salt and Sugar.  All 3 of them had bad upper respiratory infections upon intake (common in young kittens). They were treated with antibiotics, however their foster mom became concerned when they seemed to get worse instead of better. All 3 babies ended up being admitted for overnight care at the vet, but sadly Salt and Sugar did not make it 😢 Little miss Pepper is a survivor, she has fully recovered and is doing well! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is now ready to head north and find her furever home!  Pepper is expected to arrive in CT on 8/9 and we would LOVE for her to go straight to an adopter! Young kittens do best in pairs, and two kittens are actually LESS work than one, as they will entertain each other and are less likely to get into mischief! We will prioritize applicants who are looking to adopt 2 kittens, or who already have a young, friendly kitty at home.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Aurora, a super sweet and gorgeous 1.5 year old spayed female husky mix! She is smaller that she looks in photos, weighing about 40 lbs. She is a striking girl with her two different colored eyes 👀, but Aurora is so much more than just a pretty lady!  Aurora was picked up by animal control as a stray in east TN in December 2024. Shortly after being taken into rescue, we discovered that she was hiding a belly full of surprises - Aurora was pregnant! She gave birth to 7 adorable puppies on 1/30/2025 (the Rainbow litter 🌈) and, though a young and inexperienced mom, she did an excellent job raising them and was a loving and nurturing mama. All of her pups have since been adopted into loving homes, and Aurora has retired from her mama duties. Now it's time for her to find a furever home of her own!  Aurora is a sweet, laid back girl who is happy to accept love and attention (and belly rubs!), but she is also content to do her own thing. She is VERY food motivated and will do anything for a treat! She knows the commands “sit”, “down”, “wait”, and “lay down”, and she would happy to learn more in exchange for some tasty treats!  Aurora gets along well with other dogs and is good with people and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. Unlike many huskies, she is not super high energy and is generally pretty calm and mellow. She enjoys exploring in the yard and going on walks, but she is very much a “couch and ac” kind of dog. She loves water and snow!  She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Apply today to meet this special mama dog!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Kendra's siblings have all been adopted, she is the last pup remaining from her litter and we don't understand how she hasn't been scooped up yet! 😢  Kendra can be a little shy at first, but she LOVES human interaction! She is great with other dogs, people, and kids. She also does fine with cats. She's a respectful girl and loves cuddles, attention, and is so eager to find her own family. She is medically up to date, housebroken (when kept on schedule), and crate trained. Kendra would do great with an active family familiar with herding breeds. She is a very smart, sweet girl who can't wait to find her furever home! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! 🐱  Meet Loki, a handsome ~9 month old neurered male Siamese mix! Meet Maddie and Tom, a bonded sibling pair of Ragdoll/Siamese mix cats! These two cuties are 5 years old and have been together since birth. They have been loved and well cared for but, due to changes in their family, their owner is no longer able to give them the time and attention that they deserve. Maddie and Tom are now searching for a new furever home, where they can spend the rest of their days together.  Both cats are very friendly, but Tom (aka Tommy) is more social. They play and sleep together. Maddie will hide and is shy at times, but warms up to new people after getting to know them. Tommy will walk right up to new people. Both cats like to play fetch with paper toys and have a puppy mindset. They are very sweet and affectionate cats who need a lot of pets and love. Both cats are spayed/neutered, medically up to date, and litter box trained. They would do best in a home with older kids 8+ who know to respect a cat's space, or no kids. They have not been around other cats or dogs, so we are unsure how they would do with other animals.
