Dolly is a pretty girl with the Dudley lab coloring (pink/light colored nose and eye rims, and light brown eyes). She is a goofy, fun, excitable gal who is very food motivated, which makes training easy! She is quite smart, and has learned "sit", "down", "wait", and "come" while in her CT foster home. She also walks well on leash. Dolly is extremely friendly and kind with all people and other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but she does have a high prey drive and chases squirrels and small birds. Dolly loves kids, however, due to her size and excitability, we do not recommend children under 8, as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She would love an active family or a family with another dog. From Dolly's Connecticut foster mom: "She LOVES toys and loves to play! She is toy and food motivated and loves all dogs and all people. These innocent babies were sadly dumped in a dumpster in TN at 4 weeks old. Luckily they were spotted and were saved by Paws Rescue League, and placed into loving foster homes until they were old enough to make their freedom ride to New England. They are doing fanstastic now and have been cleared by the vet to come north and find their furever homes! Darin is an 8 week old male Vizsla mix pup, who is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is crate trained and pad trained, and is working on outdoor potty training. He is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone and is eager to learn. The time is now to bring home your new furry family member!! Momma Barista was saved by Paws Rescue League Inc, the day before Christmas along with a dog she came in with (Ringo). She was HEAVILY pregnant, about to pop! Unfortunately the animal control center was closed for Christmas, as are most places. We were notified that she had delivered 9 babies on the morning of 12/26/23! We had a wonderful volunteer who jumped into action to help get Barista and her 8 surviving babies picked up from the shelter and delivered to her amazing foster momma! We had decided to name the 8 babies after coffee theme, and welcomed Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte Love, Java, Macchiato, Espresso, Chai, and Bean! Barista unfortunately had picked up a bacterial infection, that 2 of the remaining babies caught and their bodies and immune system were too weak to fight off the infection. Latte Luv and Java sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. The remaining 6 babies were seen by the vet, prescribed antibiotics, and their foster mom made sure they got antibiotics 2 times a day to make sure they would survive. Along with constant care, and feedings and plenty of TLC over the course of 6 weeks. The remaining pups fought off the infection, and grew like weeds over the next few weeks in their foster moms careful care! They are now 8 weeks old and have clean bills of health, and are ready to head north to New England to find their furever homes! Cappuccino is a male shepherd/husky mix pup, expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is crate trained and working on housebreaking. Cappuccino is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone he meets and is eager to learn! Good with all animals and people, and kids. He's being fostered in New England and looking for his forever home! show less
