Meet Iron Maiden, a sweet, happy boy who gets along with all dogs and all adult people, and is a confident, fun little guy! He is nervous and wary of children, so we recommend a home with teen kids or older (or no kids), as the unpredictability of young kids is scary for him. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. It is hard to tell in the photos, but Iron Maiden is a "low rider" with the cutest little short, stubby legs! We strongly suspect he has some Dachshund or other short legged breed in him. His favorite person is a strong masculine man! He loves being around big, strong guys, and their confident, strong female companions. This little love is housebroken, crate trained (his foster says he goes into the crate perfectly), neutered, and medically up to date. He is currently being fostered in Connecticut with 6 other dogs of various sizes, and he plays well with all of them! This boy loves to play, but he is also a master napper! Iron Maiden's two brothers have already been adopted, and he is the last one left :( His foster family absolutely adores him and they are confused why he has not found his furever family yet, as he is such a good boy and so very lovable! Meet Noir, an adorable 8 week old female black lab mix! Noir and her siblings were found by animal control in east TN, there was no mama dog found, so we do not know their story. It is sadly very common for dogs to be dumped in this area, so we assume these sweet babies were an oops litter that were dumped for someone else to deal with. Noir is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is crate trained, not yet housebroken. Meet Trix, a SUPER sweet, absolute LOVE BUG 1 year old spayed female lab/staffy mix! Trix was picked up as a stray by animal control in East TN. She was minutes away from euthanasia when her TN foster stepped up for her when no one else would. Sadly, not all dogs in this situation are as lucky as Trix was 😢 Now she has earned her freedom ride to New England, to find her furever home! Trix weighs about 48 lbs and is great with other dogs, ok with cats, and loves all people, especially kids! She loves to be snuggled, and is happy to be around all people. Meet Sissi, a super sweet 3 year old spayed female chihuahua mix! Sissi was rescued from a hoarding situation in east TN when she was heavily pregnant. She gave birth to 4 puppies on 2/12/24, dubbed the Taco Bell litter: Queso, Burrito, Diablo, and Churro. Sadly, Diablo and Churro did not make it, but Queso and Burrito have been thriving and now mama Sissi and her 2 remaining babies are making their way up to New England to find their furever homes! Sissi is a petite girl weighing about 5 lbs. She is very sweet and loving and is good with other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but we suspect she would likely do ok with cats. We suggest older kids 8+ due to her small size. Sissi is medically up to date, housebroken, and pad trained. She is a 100% good doggo and is so very deserving of a loving furever home! show less

Momma Barista was saved by Paws Rescue League Inc, the day before Christmas along with a dog she came in with (Ringo). She was HEAVILY pregnant, about to pop! Unfortunately the animal control center was closed for Christmas, as are most places. We were notified that she had delivered 9 babies on the morning of 12/26/23! We had a wonderful volunteer who jumped into action to help get Barista and her 8 surviving babies picked up from the shelter and delivered to her amazing foster momma! We had decided to name the 8 babies after coffee theme, and welcomed Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte Love, Java, Macchiato, Espresso, Chai, and Bean! Barista unfortunately had picked up a bacterial infection, that 2 of the remaining babies caught and their bodies and immune system were too weak to fight off the infection. Latte Luv and Java sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. The remaining 6 babies were seen by the vet, prescribed antibiotics, and their foster mom made sure they got antibiotics 2 times a day to make sure they would survive. Along with constant care, and feedings and plenty of TLC over the course of 6 weeks. The remaining pups fought off the infection, and grew like weeds over the next few weeks in their foster moms careful care! They are now 8 weeks old and have clean bills of health, and are ready to head north to New England to find their furever homes! Bean is a male shepherd/husky mix pup with the most beautiful blue eyes, expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is crate trained and working on housebreaking. Bean is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone he meets and is eager to learn! Good with all animals and people, and kids. Bean is located in New England and awaiting his furever home! show less

Miata is a handsome 7-8 month old neutered male catahoula mix, currently weighing about 25 lbs! He appears to be mixed with some type of small/medium terrier. He has a cute curled tail and longer/more coarse hair on his tail and belly. He likely wont get much bigger. Miata has a beautiful, unique coat that is a mix of black Merle and brindle! This little dude is very sweet and playful, he was in a foster home in TN with many dogs of all sizes and he did well with all of them! He is good with people, kids, dogs, and dog savvy cats (although he does try to play with cats, which some cats may not appreciate). He just wants to be friends with everyone! He is mostly housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on leash. A 100% good doggo! From Miata's New England foster: "Miata is a little ray of sunshine, such a very good, sweet, HAPPY boy! He greets everyone in a play bow position, he is always ready to play and make new friends! His tail is always wagging and he is just so happy to be alive. Miata LOVES his people, he will smother you in kisses and then snuggle up next to you or on top of you and gaze at you with such love in his eyes. He loves belly rubs and will flop around and nudge your hand if you stop petting him too soon 😀 He is very food motivated and gets SO excited for meal time, his whole body wiggles with anticipation when I'm getting his food ready. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play tug and romp around with his 60 lb foster sister. He also does well with my two dog savvy cats, he will sniff them and try to play with them. He will chase if they run, but he doesn't want to hurt them, he just wants to play. He is a champ in his crate and does fine being crated during the work day, as long as he gets some good play time/exercise/cuddles in when you get home. Miata is a great choice if you're looking for a loving companion that isn't too high maintenance. He is full of love and light and would do well in most homes!" show less

Sally is the sweetest 2 year female spayed lab mix, weighing about 40 lbs. She was saved from the KILL SHELTER in TN in the middle of October 2023. She was heavily pregnant about to burst. Sally gave birth to 11 healthy puppies the next day. Whom we named the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, as they arrived JUST before Halloween, and they would be ready for their FURever homes JUST before Christmas! Sally's puppies were transported to New England in December and all but one of them have already been adopted into loving homes. Now it's mama Sally's turn! Sally is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is good with other dogs, kids, and people (not cat tested). She is very very shy and scared at first when meeting new people/new situations. She does not have a mean or aggressive bone in her body, but she has obviously had a very hard past and she needs time to feel safe. She is a super sweet, loving dog, but so scared. Sally needs a gentle and patient human who will allow her time to decompress and learn to trust. She is worth the wait! From Sally's CT foster mom: "Sally is the sweetest girl once she warms up to you! She gets so excited to see me when I first wake up. She gets tippy taps for food and treats and she has full body wiggles! She does hide under the bed and gets spooked quite easily. These innocent babies were sadly dumped in a dumpster in TN at 4 weeks old. Luckily they were spotted and were saved by Paws Rescue League, and placed into loving foster homes until they were old enough to make their freedom ride to New England. They are doing fanstastic now and have been cleared by the vet to come north and find their furever homes! Pearl is an 8 week old female Vizsla mix pup, who is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. She was DNA tested and is 50% border collie/50% GSD (both parents were full bred dogs). They produced a pup who looks like a little bear cub, hence the name Boo Boo! 🐻 She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. Boo Boo is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! She is highly active and has a lot of energy. She would do best in a home with another young dog that she could play with. She has typical sharp baby puppy teeth that like to bite ankles as you are walking by! LOL. She needs a home that will stay active with her and provide her with plenty of physical activity. She is VERY SMART and she will only get smarter as she gets older which reflects the two breeds she is made up of: Collie and Shepard which are two very smart and active breeds. **MARCH MUTT MADNESS ADOPTION SALE*** For the month of March, all mixed breed dogs have a reduced adoption fee! All adopt fees will be reduced by $100 from what is listed on our website. The time is now to bring home your new furry family member!! Meet Cash, Jewel, Pearl, and Darin, dubbed the "Trash to Treasure" pups. These innocent babies were sadly dumped in a dumpster in TN at 4 weeks old. Luckily they were spotted and were saved by Paws Rescue League, and placed into loving foster homes until they were old enough to make their freedom ride to New England. They are doing fanstastic now and have been cleared by the vet to come north and find their furever homes! Jewel is an 8 week old female Vizsla mix pup, who is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. She is crate trained and pad trained, and is working on outdoor potty training. She is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone and is eager to learn. She's fostered in CT with her siblings in a loving foster home. show less
