Meet Bupp, a super handsome 5 year neutered male English bulldog mix! Bupp is the sweetest boy! He is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Bupp will be arriving in New England soon, and we are accepting applications on him now! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Glory, the sweetest little chihuahua mix you'll ever lay your eyes on! Glory is approximately 2 yrs old, spayed, and weighs only 10 lbs - the perfect lap dog! Glory was heavily pregnant when she was taken into rescue, and she gave birth to 4 puppies just before the 4th of July (Liberty, Patriot, Victoria, and Yankee). All of her pups have found their furever homes, and now it's mama Glory's turn to find her furever home! And she deserves the best! Glory is a shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she is very sweet! She is good with other dogs, cats, and people. We recommend older kids (8+) who know to respect a dog's space (due to her small size and nervousness). From Glory's current foster:  "Glory took about 1-2 days to fully come out of her shell. She was shy and very nervous at first (has the typical chihuahua shakes, tail between her legs) but now is running all over the house, tail wagging, jumping into our laps and arms and wants nothing more than to snuggle in your arms. Playful and loves belly rubs. Has warmed up to the whole house, loves all people and dogs. Quiet as a mouse. Housebroken and crate trained. Just the cutest thing ever." Glory has been patiently waiting for her family for some time now, and would love nothing more than some humans to cuddle up to & maybe some furry siblings to hangout with. She is a fairly mellow dog (minus the occasional 5 minute zoomie that puts her to sleep for a few hours) so a quieter home where she can spend a lot of time with her people would be ideal for her.  She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Are you ready to make this cutie part of your family? Apply to meet this darling girl today! "The Sweet Cowgirl Pup!" Are you ready to add some sweetness to your life? Meet Elsie, a darling 6 month old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix. Born to mama Bessie on June 4, 2024, Elsie is one of the "7 Cowgirl Puppies." DNA testing on her sister confirms their primary breeds as Australian Cattle Dog, Rat Terrier, and Australian Shepherd. She currently weighs about 15-20 lbs and is not expected to grow much bigger. She has petite features and refined bone structure like her mama (mom was about 30 lbs).  Elsie has demonstrated good social skills. She's working on potty training and doing very well, learning to sit politely for pets, and is friendly with other dogs and people alike! She is up-to-date on vaccinations, crate trained, and microchipped.  From Elsie's current foster:  "Although Elsie is bred to be high energy she’s actually the perfect mix of energy levels. She will calmly hang out in her crate while I’m at work or doing something in the house that I can’t watch her. Outside she will run laps and play but never runs too far out of sight and comes every time she’s called. She will play with her toys or other dogs in the house but most likely she’s relaxing on the couch chewing a bone or taking a nap. She’s not wired or super hyper. She wants to please her humans and tries hard to figure out what’s expected from her. She’s a pleasure to foster. Her terrier DNA does have her barking at the cats and will chase them if they run but she’s working on those behaviors." Apply to meet this sweet girl today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Meet Piglet, one of the "Little Piggy" puppies 🐷, born to mama Dorris! Piglet is a male beagle/hound mix, expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  Mama Dorris was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN when she was very heavily pregnant - poor Dorris looked like she was about to pop! Paws Rescue League took her into rescue and placed her into a loving foster home, where she went into labor and began giving birth during the evening hours of 9/29. Dorris was able to deliver the first 3 babies on her own, but baby #4 got stuck, so her experienced foster mom loaded her up to the vet for a C section. The vet was able to pull out baby #4, however it was stillborn 😢 The final 3 babies were delivered via C section (mama was also spayed following the C section). One other baby did not make it, but the surviving 5 pups (the "Little Piggie" litter) have grown into chubby, healthy puppies who are almost ready for their furever homes! Piglet is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! He is good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, when properly trained/socialized, will grow into wonderful dogs. From Piglet's current foster: "Piglet 🖤 Little body, huge heart. Piglet is always looking to put a smile on your face and give so many kisses. His big, brown eyes match his big heart. He loves to fall asleep in your lap but does great putting himself to bed when he’s played too hard. Piglet is amazing with other dogs, cats and kids, constantly looking for the opportunity to play. He loves to play with any toys, but he specifically loves ones that squeak and roll. Piglet also loves bones for some independent play. Don’t be fooled by his size, this little guy has a big appetite! He is very eager to learn. He is crate trained and is doing amazing with potty training. Piglet is always up for an adventure and he can’t wait to find his forever home and learn so much more with his new family!" Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Speckle, a super sweet 1 year old spayed female Catahoula/terrier mix! She weighs about 40 lbs and is full grown. She was very underweight when she was picked up as a stray in east TN and taken into rescue, she has gained some weight but still needs to put on a little more. She has a beautiful red merle coat and light green eyes. Photos do not do this girl justice!  Speckle is shy and nervous at first, but she warms up with some patience (and some treats) and is very friendly and loving once she knows she can trust you! This sweet girl has a youthful spirit and is happy and playful! Speckle is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ (because she is young and exuberant and may unintentionally knock over a small child). She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From Speckle's current foster: "Speckle enjoys playing with other dogs, but she also enjoys being with humans and would love to hang all day with them if she could. She has a happy energy level, but not out of control. She loves to give hugs, sleeps through the night, and hasn't had any accidents in the house. She is the sweetest girl with golden eyes." Speckle medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweetheart today!  show less
