As part of the Poet Litter, you'd think I'd be raven-obsessed with dark and mysterious verse, but honestly, my poetry is more like "Woof woof, squeaky toys are my heart's desire!" I love everyone I meet, human and furry friend alike, and I'm always up for a good cuddle or play session. But let's be real, I'm still a puppy. I need some guidance and training to become the best version of myself. I'm eager to learn and please, so if you're willing to invest some time in teaching me good manners, I'll be your best student! My name is Spencer, and my story isn't an easy one. I came from a place where love was scarce, and hope was hard to find. But despite everything I've been through, I've held onto one thing, the desire to be loved. I'm a 5 year old neutered male mixed breed, weighing 24lbs. I'm still learning to trust the world around me. It takes me time to feel safe, and I need patient humans who understand that I'm not like the others. I'm nervous and shy, but once I know you're kind and gentle, I'll let my guard down and show you my heart. I'm good with other dogs, but I need time to unwind and relax around them, just like humans do. I'd thrive in a home with older kids who understand my skittish nature and won't push me beyond what I can handle. As for cats....well, I'm still figuriing those out. Triston was taken into rescue as an orphan when he was about 4 weeks old. Although not related to them, he has been raised with the Poet pups (Aussie shepherd mixes who are about the same age as him). He is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. Triston is a VERY sweet little guy who is sure to steal your heart! Meet Nene, a charming and affectionate neutered male mini poodle/shih tzu mix weighing about 20 lbs! This sweet guy is a young 7ish years old and has lots of love to give! He makes himself at home very quickly, is food motivated, and enjoys pats. Nene is looking for a forever home where he can love and be loved. He is good with people, shy for about 10-15 minutes and then warms up and wants to be your BFF. He is a super snuggle bug and LOVES to cuddle with his people! 🥰 He is a lower energy dog who would be content to spend most of his day curled up on the couch next to you, or under your desk while you work. He's pretty low maintenance and easy going, it really does not take much to make this guy happy! Nene is good with other dogs after a proper introduction. He will bark at new dogs at first (not aggressive), he just needs a little time to get to know them. He may take a couple days to warm up to other dogs in the household, but after he adjusts he does well with them. He has not been cat tested, but we expect he would likely be fine with dog savvy cats (may bark at them at first like he does with new dogs). She is shy and timid at first, and she needs a little time to warm up to new people. If you are gentle and patient with her, she will warm up and be your buddy in no time! Once she knows you are safe, she will follow you around and loves to be by your side. Cypress is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we feel she would likely be fine with cats. I was rescued from an overcrowded and overwhelming situation (the humans call it a "hoarding" situation), where love and attention were scarce. But despite the challenges, my spirit has remained unbroken, and I'm now ready to unfurl my petals and find my forever home. All I ask is for a little patience and understanding, as I am still learning how to be a dog, and the world can be a scary place for me. But it is getting less scary every day! I am shy and skittish at first, and I take some time to trust new people and feel safe. If you nurture me with patience and kindness, and let me come to you on my own terms, you'll see that behind my scared exterior is a sweet and gentle soul, who wants so badly to love and be loved. My past wasn't easy, as I was rescued from a crowded and overwhelming environment (the humans call it a "hoarding" situation), where I didn't get the chance to be the beloved pet I was meant to be. But I'm ready to leave that behind and start fresh! I'm a little nervous, and I am shy and skittish when you first meet me. I need time to feel safe, and I hope you can be patient and gentle with me, and let me come to you on my own terms once I'm ready. I haven't had the best experiences with humans in the past, so I am still learning to trust. I want to let my guard down and show you my true, sweet self, but I need to know you're safe first. Deep down, I really just want to love and be loved. I like dogs, they help me to feel safe and more confident. Little kids are scary to me, but I don't mind older kids 8+ who know how to respect a dog's space. I think I would like cats, but maybe a slow introduction would be best for both of us. I wouldn't want to scare my potential feline sister/brother. October was found with her 6 newborn puppies under floor boards inside an abandoned house in east TN. Over 25 dogs were rescued from this property, having been left to fend for themselves 😢 (sadly, this type of situation is not uncommon in this area). Although the B litter had a tragic start, you wouldn't know it - as they are typical happy, friendly puppies who love everyone! These resilient pups are ready to put their pasts behind them and find their furever homes! Bug is a super sweet boy who gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids! Hi, I'm Willow! I'm a ~1 year old spayed female poodle/doodle sweetheart who loves two things in life: snuggling and playtime! There's nothing better than curling up in someone's lap and gazing up at them with adoring eyes. Don't worry, I'm still lapdog size at 50 lbs, at least I think so. I also love to run around and play with my furry friends. I am happiest around other dogs and am hoping that my furever home will include a doggo sibling(s) to play with! I'm a social butterfly (or should I say, social pup?) and thrive on companionship. When I'm with other dogs, I'm in my element, and I even learn from them. Some of my best friends right now are Staffies, I just can't get enough of those adorable faces! As for cats....well, I'm not really sure about those guys. I've never really met one, so I'd need a slow introduction and some patience from my new family. My TN foster says I'm halfway housebroken, and I'm getting there. I love using my pee pads, but I'm still learning to go outside exclusively. I'm super smart and treat motivated, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it with some consistency and tasty rewards. Don't worry if I bark a little, it's just my way of saying, "Let's play!" or "Hey, I'm excited!" When I'm around my pack, I'm quiet and good as gold. I'm medically up to date, which I think means the vet poked me enough times and gave me some yummy treats afterward. I'm not really sure what it means, but if it makes my humans happy, I'm good! I'm crate trained and do well in my crate when I'm not with my favorite humans or furry friends. I even snuggle up and sleep soundly on my favorite human's bed. These babies were picked up as strays in east TN and were placed in a loving foster home with Tory (not related, but similar aged solo kitten). They are now in CT and are ready to find their furever homes! Grayson is a spayed female gray and white cutie who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to her furever home! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They are all very playful and sweet kittens, but Smoke and Tiggie are the most outgoing of this group.
