Meet the Oktoberfest Litter! 🐾 These 8 ADORABLE pups were born to mama Gretchen (32 lb German Wirehaired Pointer mix - found as a stray in east TN when she was heavily pregnant) on 10/29/2025. We are unsure what Dad is, but we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs. These cuties will be ready to go to their furever homes once they turn 8 weeks old on 12/24/2025 (just in time for Christmas!🎄). We are accepting applications on them now! Mama Gretchen will be available soon as well (she still needs to be spayed once she stops nursing and her milk has dried up).  Jagermeister (light blue collar) is a male puppy who is as cute as can be! He is white and black with little freckles on his nose!😍 He is a typical happy, friendly puppy who is good with everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. Jagermeister is medically up to date (age appropriate) and is so excited to embark on his next adventure - finding his furever family! ❤️ Apply to meet this sweetie today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Zeus, a handsome 8 year old neutered male Corgi, weighing approx. 30 lbs! Zeus was surrendered to PRL through no fault of his own, due to significant changes in his owner's living situation. He has been loved and well cared for, and the owner chose to surrender him to a rescue to ensure he would be safe and would go to a good home.  Zeus is a friendly boy who does well with other dogs. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. His previous owner has stated that he tends to be a little nervous around small children, so older children 10+ or adults only would be best. His TN foster reports that Zeus has been an easy foster and a very good boy. And he loves car rides!  Zeus is medically up to date and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this special boy today! **Zeus will not be available until our 12/14/25 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! We will prioritize applicants who are able to attend the 12/14 event. If Zeus is not adopted at the event, we will move on to other applicants.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Salem, a super cute 3 month old male mixed breed puppy! Our best guess is lab/terrier mix, and we expect him to grow to a medium sized dog. Salem has a light brown coat and the prettiest light eyes! 👀  The Halloween litter sadly had a rough start, as their mom was shot and killed for going after the neighbor's chickens when her pups were just 1 week old. 😔 The orphaned litter of 7 puppies was taken into rescue and placed with our amazing TN neonatal foster mama, who did everything she could to give them a fighting chance. Sadly, 4 of the 7 babies did not make it, however the remaining 3 boys (Salem, Jack (O'Lantern), and Zero) have absolutely thrived! They have arrived in New England and are now ready to put their tragic pasts behind them and find furever homes of their own! 💗  Salem is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. Salem is a little more shy than his brother Zero, but he warms up quickly! He is medically up to date (age appropriate), crate trained, and working on housebreaking. Meet Negan! Negan is a very handsome ~9 month old neutered male hound/shepherd mix pup! He currently weighs about 45 lbs and is likely mostly done growing (he may still fill out a little more). Negan is a sweet, friendly boy who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  He is an energetic, playful pup who enjoys romping around in the yard with his human and/or doggo friends! He would love to join a family with another young, playful dog to keep him company, but he would also do fine as an only dog, as long as he gets adequate physical/mental stimulation. He is a smart boy and is very food motivated!  This super cutie is medically up-to-date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Meet Bambi, the SUPER sweet mama of the Bambi litter pups (Faline, Owl, Thumper, Mr. Mole, Flower, Aunt Ena, and Mrs. Possum)! Bambi and her newborn pups were found in a field in east TN while farmers were mowing. This little family was taken into rescue and placed in a loving foster home. They are now in CT and puppies are ready to start going to their furever homes. Bambi is ready to retire from her mama duties and find a furever home of her own as well! Bambi is a young mama, approximately 1-2 years old. She weighs about 40 lbs, we think she is an Australian Cattle Dog/shepherd mix. She is extremely sweet and loving and has been an amazing and attentive mom! She is a friendly, easy going girl who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested). Meet Pugsley, a ~3 month old male lab/terrier mix puppy! We expect him to grow to a medium/large dog.  Pugsley, his sister Wednesday, and mama Morticia were picked up as strays by animal control in east TN (there was also a third puppy, who was adopted from animal control). This little family spent several days at an overcrowded kill shelter and their stray hold was up, which meant they were at risk of euthanasia 😢 Fortunately, we were able to find a foster to take them in, and they were pulled from the shelter in the nick of time.  These cuties will be arriving in CT on 12/13, and we are accepting applications on them now!  Pugsley is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Meet Rocky, a super cute 3-4 year old neutered male dachshund mix! This little guy weighs about 14 lbs, but he packs a lot of personality into his small size! Rocky is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids (older kids 8+ recommended, as he is an energetic little guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child).  From Rocky's current foster:  "Rocky is a happy, wiggly snugglebug who loves everyone he meets. He is fully potty trained and crate trained, and he settles nicely once he has had a little playtime. Rocky enjoys toys and playing with other dogs, and he has been respectful of cats in the home. Because he is such a playful guy, he would likely do best with older kids who can match his energy. If you are looking for a fun buddy who doubles as a couch cuddler, Rocky is your guy!" Apply to meet this good boy today!  **Rocky will not be available until our 12/14/25 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! Meet Champ, a ~1 year old neutered male Australian Shepherd/Collie mix, weighing about 45 lbs! This handsome boy is very sweet but timid. He has been working on building his confidence in his foster home. He was definitely undersocialized as a young pup, and as a result, he is unsure of new people/places/things at first. He needs a little time and patience to warm up, but he is SO worth the wait! He is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to his nervous/timid nature, also as a young herding breed, he may try to herd small children). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Champ is very smart and a quick learner, which is definitely the Aussie in him! He is an energetic boy who would love a fenced in yard of his own to get out his zoomies and play some fetch! He would also be thrilled to have a confident doggo sibling to help show him the ropes.  He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Oats, a SUPER sweet ~6 year old spayed female poodle/doodle mix, weighing about 42 lbs! She was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN and has been transported to New England to find her furever home! She is currently being fostered in southern NH. Oats's coat was quite matted and unkempt when she came to us, so she has been shaved. We can't wait to see her transformation once her hair starts growing back in and her coat is properly cared for!  Despite a neglectful past, Oats is a very happy and friendly girl who loves everyone she has met so far! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is a docile, mellow girl who would make an excellent companion. Looking for a cuddlebug? Oats is your girl! She loves to be held and pet, truly a super sweetheart! Oats is medically up to date and housebroken. Meet Linden, a handsome ~2 year old chihuahua/small terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Linden was rescued from a hoarding/neglect case in Kentucky along with the other Tree pups (Magnolia, Pine, Sycamore, etc.). He is currently being fostered in CT and is ready to find his furever home!  Linden is a shy/nevous boy who takes some time to trust and warm up to new people. He wants so badly to connect with people, but he is scared and unsure. Once he knows you are safe, he is very sweet! He is looking for someone who will be patient with him and give him a little time and space to come to them on his own terms. Linden is good with other dogs, cats (he ignores tbem), people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to his nervous/timid nature). From Linden's current foster:  "Linden is making great progress! Although he remains a bit shy, he has shown remarkable improvement and is such a sweet pup. We’ve started teaching him some basic commands, focusing on "come" and "sit." He understands "come," but we're still working on "sit." He’s fantastic on the leash, enjoys his walks and recently enjoyed trips to Petco and Home Depot,  he was a bit scared at first but did great." He is medically up to date, housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while acclimating to a new environment/routine), and crate trained. Meet Jack, a super cute 9 week old male mixed breed puppy! Our best guess is lab/terrier mix, and we expect him to grow to a medium sized dog. Jack has a chocolate brown coat and the prettiest light eyes! 💗  Jack is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone!
