Meet Maddison, a sweet ~6 month old spayed female dachshund mix with a beautiful dapple coat, weighing about 6 lbs! She is not expected to get much bigger. Maddison and her siblings were rescued from a hoarding case in east TN and are now ready to find their furever homes! Maddison is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She is good with cats and is curious about the small animals (guinea pigs and rabbit) in her foster home. She is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken (may have some excitement pee, which is common with young dogs who are still working on full bladder control). From Maddison's current foster: "Good thing Maddison is only 6 lbs, because she loves her "uppies". She loves to be held and cuddled. You can count on her to give lots of love. She is great with all sizes and kinds of dogs. However, she doesn't like when larger dogs get all up in her face or bother her while she eats. She is basically a couch hippo who loves snuggles. When I took her to a cross country meet, she would just lay down and observe everything going on around her. Every now and again her cute playful side comes out and she will jump around all excited to go outside for a walk. She is a super chill girl." Walks good on a leash but sometimes wants to go further than it does and get confused about it. She enjoys snuggling into you for love and kisses. She has no teeth so needs to eat soft food.
