Ruffles is a 3 month old male Chihuahua who was saved from a breeder. His prior owner was a breeder, who aquired Ruffles with the intent to breed him. The owner chose not to breed him, and chose to contact rescue to surrender him to a rescue to find a home for him. We agreed to take the Chihuahua puppy, who we decided to name Ruffles, and have promised him that he will never be used for breeding, and we will find him the best home possible. Ruffles is a 3 month old male long hair chihuahua, were told he is full bred, but we believe he is mixed. We do not guarantee any breeds. All dogs are listed as most likely breed, based on educated guess. Ruffles is a typical 3 month old pup, who loves everyone, gets along great with other dogs, is ok with cats, and good with children show less

Levi came to Paws Rescue League as a stray from Animal Cotnrol, Levi had 3 days, per state law in TN for an owner to come claim him, or for someone to adopt him, or a rescue to save him. After 3 days if a dog isnt claimed, adopted, or rescued the dog is euthanized for space. Levi is a neutered male 9-10 month old Beagle mix (after we saved him, we found his sister who has been saved by another rescue!) Levi is currently 25lbs, he will not get much bigger than he is now, at most he could gain another 5lbs or so. Levi is a sweet puppy, who didnt have the best start to life, he is affectionate, and loving, and likes to please his people, and be near his people. He is crate trained, but he prefers to be with you. He is good with other dogs, he should have a proper intro with male dogs. He is good with cats. He is good with kids, we suggest kids 8 years and up due to him being an oder puppy who is learning what its like to be loved and live with a family. Levi is said to be a very happy guy, who loves to play, and is just happy to be loved. Levi is house broken as long has he can go out ebery 4-5 hours. All adopters should expect accidents the first few days, while the dog figures out their new environment and routine. Once they know the routine, housebroken dogs typically stop having accidents. show less

Sasha is a Great Pyrenese/Golden mix, which is sadly a "designer" mix of dog that people breed specifically to be livestock gaurdians/family dogs in the south. Sasha was most likely bred to be sold to people with a small farm/family farm. Sasha at only about 8 months old found her self at scary animal control, she was filthy, extremely matted to the point no brushing could get the matting out. From the looks of it Sasha had been fending for herself for at the very least about a month. Thankfully for her she was picked up,and brought to animal control, where volunteers post the dogs to help find their owners, an adopter or a rescue to save the dogs before theyre euthanized. A lot of rescues will only save small breed dogs, puppies, or full bred dogs. We take in many large mixed breed dogs, where other rescues tend to pass over. Sasha is a very loving, sweet girl, who was not given the proper love and care as a young puppy. She has been learning what its like to be a dog since she has entered rescue and living in a foster home. Sasha is very good with other dogs, she can be a little unsure at first so proper intros are best for her. She has not been cat tested, but we feel she would do best in a home without cats. Sasha is good with kids, we suggest 8 years and up due to her size, and the fact she is still very much a puppy, and can easily knock a small child over. Sasha is fully vetted, crate trained ( although she absolutely prefers to be with her people, or dog friends), and is acing her housebreaking! show less

Ranger found himslef, and his German Shepard sibling at Animal Control in TN one morning. He had spent his first 3-4 years of life with his owner, and his GSD sibling, this was new to him. Loud barking, scared dogs, and strange people all around him, he was scared. Ranger wasnt sure what he did, why his owner left him here, he knows he was the very best boy.. Ranger wound up at a kill shelter, where dogs who are brought in by their owners have 24 HOURS to find an adopter or rescue to save them. He was there due to no fault of his own, but his owners inability to provide him a loving home. So many people get dogs, and once a dog doesnt perfrom to their standards, or no longer fits into their lifestyle, they dump them. Ranger is a very loyal, loving, sweet, and quirky boy. He is very calm, and well behaved indoors, and he walks amazingly well on leash. He knows some basic commands, is crate trained, house broken and loves his people, and doggo friends. Ranger likes to sleep under beds, or behind furniture, which is where his quirkiness comes into play! He is a siberian husky, who is absolutely stunning, loyal and a pure love! Ranger would love a family who will give him a home for the rest of his life, Siberian Huskys live to 12-15 years, Ranger is still a young dog with his whole life ahead of him! He would love a family with breed expreince. He would do well as an only dog, or with other dogs. He is good with kids (we suggest older children, 8 years and up, as he is a big dog and can accidentally knock a small child over) Ranger has not been cat tested. show less

Holly came to us along with an austrailian shepard named Berry. The local Humane Society asked if our reacue could take them in. They were surrendered by their owner for having too much energy. Holly is a 21 week old female Border Collie/Aussie mix, she is as cute as a button! She is a working breed of dog, so a family with breed exprience, or working breed experience is prefered. Holly would do best with an active family, or with a lot of land she can run around and play in safely. She is fully vetted, and up to date with all her vaccines, and preventatives. She is dog, kid and cat friendly, and loves everyone she meets! Holly will be in New England next week, and will be ready for her FURever home! More pictures soon! show less

Roman and his sibling Seth are male black lab/weim mixes, both are 12 weeks old, medically UTD, and neutered. They were named after wrestlers! They will be about 55-65lbs full grown, and currently are working on mastering potty training and learning how to sit! They are crate trained, but love to be with their people. They are typiclal playful, friendly, curious puppies. They were transfered to Paws Rescue League through a local TN Humane Soicety. We were asked to take them in and find them wonderful homes! Roman is good with all other animals, dogs, cats and farm animals, he is great with kids and loves to play with them. When full grown he will be about 55-65lbs, and will be a moderately active dog. He would love a fenced in backyard, or a family who will take him on hikes, to the beach or on nice long walks. He would make a perfect addition to most families! Stronghold is an adorable 4 month old Mt Cur/Beagle/Hound mix, him and his 3 siblings are named after the newest minions movie. Stronghold is neuterd, up to date with all of his vaccines, and preventatives. He is a typical sweet, happy playful puppy, who wants to be friends with everyone. He is very curious about the world and is hoping to find an owner or family who will teach him! He is good with all people, and other dogs, we assume he would do well with cats, but he has not been cat tested as of yet. He is crate trained, and working on mastering housebreaking. Pixel was found as a stray in the country side of TN, and was placed on a stray hold at animal control. Paws Rescue League Inc, put a rescue hold on her, and placed her in a foster home when he stray time was up. Animal control euthanizes for space, and we work tirelessley and quickly to save as many dogs as we can. Pixel is just a young girl, estimated to be between 10-12 months old, she is a mountain cur mix with a strikingly beautiful bridndle coat. Pixel is great with other dogs, and has spent time at day care while in foster home in TN, where she befriended dogs of all shapes, ages and sizes! Pixel is also good with children, we suggest children 6 years and up, as she is medium sized, and still very much in her puppy years. She has no been cat tested yet, she has met a cat and was interested and curious but left the cat alone. Pixel is a cuddle bug, and loves to snuggle her people, she is crate trained, house broken and fully vetted. Anna has a brown/merle or dapple coat, she weighs between 4-5lbs currently, she is about 3 months old. She is your typical playful, curious puppy who would love a family of her own. She is crate trained, working on housebreaking. She is good with everyone, dogs, cats, children and people. We believe she will be a small to medium dog full grown (under 30lbs). Anna would love to find a home who will socialize her, train her and teach her all about the world. Buddy, got her name when PRL saved her from the local kill shelter, where they had listed her as a male. We found out when we got her to the vet, Buddy was a she. All of her paperwork had already had the name Buddy, so we decided to keep her name as is. Buddy came from a cruelty case, she was in a home, where the family was not taking care of their animals, and had too many animals, and they were all being neglected. Buddy was very shy and timid when she first came to PRL, but after a few days, when she realized she was safe, and in a good place, she opened right up! Probably the first time she got to run around freely with other dogs, and just get to be a dog! Her smile and happiness was infectious! Just one look at her now, brings a smile to all of our faces. Buddy is a sweet little girl, with a gorgeous wavy/curly coat of fur, that she gets from the yorkie-poo in her, and short stumpy legs true to the doxy in her.. She has the build of a dacshund with her long body, short legs and narrow face, and big rounded ears. She is absolutely adorable. She came to us quite matted, and needed a groom, where we tried to keep as much hair on her as possible, but she ended up needing a lot more off at the time, so she got a cute lion hair cut! Buddy is crate trained, and is fully housebroken, she is also working on learning her basic commands. She is a sweetie, who loves all the other dogs, good with people and children, but she is shy and timid at first, she needs a minute until she realizes you are safe, and a good person. We suggest children a little older, 8 years and up, who can understand to give a dog space when needed. She would fit in with many families, but we think the best home for her would be one with another dog, and older kids or no kids, and medium active family ( one who will go for walks, or small adventures to the beach, and dog park). She does take a day or two to warm up, but once she does shes off to the races! *( Buddy got her name, as when we intook her we were told she was a male, so on her vet documents, and intake paperwork she was listed as Buddy. When she went to the vet we were informed Buddy was a girl! We left her name Buddy, to avoid confusion. Buddy will be at our Summer event at Petco in Willimantic CT on 08/21/2022! We have named them the "Frozen Litter" Elsa has a Tan/Silver coat, she weighs between 4-5lbs currently, she is about 3 months old. She is your typical playful, curious puppy who would love a family of her own. She is crate trained, working on housebreaking. She is good with everyone, dogs, cats, children and people. Posh came to us from an animal control shelter in TN. She was an owner surrender (from an unwanted litter of puppies), she and 2 of her siblings were dumped at the Animal Control shelter. Her 2 siblings had found adopters, but not poor Posh. The director of Animal Control reached out to us and asked if we could help with her, and another puppy they had. We picked up Posh and placed her in a TN foster while we had her vetted. She is now in New England and ready to find her FURever family. She will be attending our Summer adoption event in Willimantic CT on 08/21/2022. Posh is a very sweet girl, who loves to be with her people, and to play with other dogs, cats or kids. She is about 14 weeks old, so still a very young puppy. She is a lab/retriever/hound mix, and 100% adorable!! She currently weighs about 10lbs, she will grow to be a medium sized dog, probably between 30-40lbs. She is up to date with all of her vaccines, she is microchipped, on monthly preventatives. She is not spayed. She is crate trained but much rather be in bed with her people of another pooch. She is working on mastering housebreaking. She would make the perfect family dog. show less

He is crate trained, housebroken, gets along with other dogs wonderfully, he is good with dog savvy cats. Rory is good with children, infact he adores children. He is about 45lbs. Rory is crate trained, and housebroken. Everyone who meets him says he is the sweetest soul, just an amazing temperament, all around great dog. He would fit in well in almost any family/home. Gifford is a 2 year old male German Short Haired Pointer who found himself at animal control, facing possible euthanasia. The community we save dogs from, do not have laws to protect dogs. The state of TN allows stray dogs 3 days, for their owners to pick them up, or to find an adopter or a rescue. We took Gifford in, and placed him in a TN foster home, had him fully vetted. Gifford is currently in TN in a board and train. Unfortunately for Gifford he never had owners who trained him, or worked with him. He is a very sweet boy, and wants to please his people, so he is learning to be the best boy he can be. He will be headed to New England after his board and train. Gifford is housebroken, crate trained, and he is wonderful with other dogs, not cat tested yet, he is good with children but we suggest older children due to his size. He is about 50lbs. Prior breed experience is prefered, or experience with working dog breeds. A fenced in yard is required for him. show less

Pidge is a 1 - 2 year old spayed female great pyrense mix. She is a sweet girl, who has a wonderful temperament with people and other dogs, she is sweet, calm and loving. Her gorgeous white coat is thanks to the great pyrenese in her. She is a gentle giant who is always smiling, which is thanks to the golden in her. She is hoping for a family of her own in New England! Pidge past is assumed to be what many Great Pyrs in TN experience. A family most likely purchased her, intending for her to live in a yard and guard their livestock. When she didnt prove to be a good livestock guardian she was probably dumped, no longer wanted. Pidge, most likley lost her home, and found her self at animal control facing euthanasia due to no fault of her own. Pidge just wants to be a dog, and be around her people. That is what makes Pidge happiest! She is good with other dogs, and with people and kids, we suggest kids 8 years and up due to her size, of about 55lbs. She could unintentionally knock a small child over. She has not been cat tested, we are unsure how she would do with cats. Pidge is crate trained and housebroken. Once you meet Pidge and spend a little bit of time with her, she is the sweetest big baby who just wants to be loved, and to have a family she can love. show less

Duke was saved from a kill shelter. His prior owner had dumped him at animal control with his bone. Duke had no idea what was happening, and he held on to his bone, as the only small piece of familiarity, and comfort. Duke didnt realized from the moment he was walked into the building that a timer started ticking. Dogs who are surrendered to the shelter that we saved Duke and others from, only have 24 hours until they are euthanized - for space. The communities, and shelters are so overwhelmed, and they have to take stray dogs in. They do not have the capacity to keep up with the enormous amount of unwanted and abandoned dogs. So dogs who are dumped by their owners, are the first to be euthanized. Luckily for Duke, Paws Rescue League saw him, and made arrangemts to save him. Duke was picked up and placed in a TN foster home, was fully vetted, and cleared for adoption. He arrives in New England on 07/02/2022, and will be ready for his furever family! Duke is crate trained, potty trained, he knows his basic commands, sit, and lay down. He is good with other dogs, we are unsure about cats, as hes not been cat tested yet. He is good with people but we suggest older children 10 years and up. Duke is an active dog, true to his breed, he is a sweet dog and aims to please his owners. He cant wait to be in a home where he is loved and cared for, and never dumped again. show less

Pandie is a 6 month old spayed female who weighs about 28lbs currently. She is believed to be a border collie and labrador mix. Pandie absolutely LOVES water, other dogs and people. She was fostered in a home with a cat, dogs from 10lbs to 100lbs, and children and farm animals (pigs, chickens and ducks), and she did well with them all. Pandie is a sweet girl, who is still very much a puppy, she is crate trained and housebroken, once she learns her new families routine, and she is able to go out to potty every few hours she is accident free. Pandie is still very playful and curious with still being a pup, she is looking for a family who will continue to socialize her, and take her along with them for new experiences, and give her a wonderful life. Pandie would fit well in most homes, she just askes that you have a fenced in yard, and a kiddie pool :). (Or will be willing to take her to the beach) show less

Rosco came to Paws Rescue League Inc, when the Humane Society asked if we could help take one of their dogs because their kennels were full. Rosco is a sweet boy who loves to play with anyone. He is about 7-8 months old, and weighs about 17lbs. He will be a small-medium sized dog when full grown. We believe he is a seedish vallhund/hound mix. He is neutered, up to date on his vetting, preventatives, and vaccines, he is heartworm negative, and is excited to be in New England and find the PAWfect home for him! Rosco is crate trained, and housebroken, good with other dogs, dog savvy cats, and children. Rosco is still a puppy, and is learning everyday how to be the best pup! Twinkie came to us, when one of our voluinteers had found a puppy being dumped on their property. Twinkie is a 6 month old female hound/shepard mix. She is an absolute sweet heart, and silly girl. She is shy at first and has barked at strangers, which is completely understandable after what she went through. Her TN foster had worked on socializing her with people, and teaching her that meeting new people = getting tasty treats! Twinkie has come a long way, she warms up to new people quickly, and once she does she loves you! Twinkie is crate trained, almost fully house broken, good with other dogs, good with people, and children. We are unsure how she is with cats. She will grow to be a medium - large dog ( 40-55lbs is what the vet estimates). Twinkie would love a home, where she never has to worry about being dumped like trash again. Filled with people who love her, a doggo friend to play with, and a fenced in yard to keep her safe while she runs around and plays. She would do well in most homes, she is an active puppy, but she is not overrly active. show less
