This sweet senior gentleman is good with all other dogs, good with people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. He has not been cat tested, but we feel he would probably do ok with cats. He recently had a dental cleaning, has documented alopecia (hair loss, age-related), and has a heart murmur (age-related, stable). He is not neutered due to the heart murmur. He is a very easygoing guy who just loves to sleep most of the day and hang out with his people. He would do best in a quiet low-activity home, ideally with a fenced-in yard. He doesn't make much noise. Barely barks, and doesn't eat much food. He's the perfect dog for a senior or a person who doesn't want a lot of activity or noise in their home He is medically up to date and crate trained. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard as he has poor recall and can get lost if somone isn't paying attention to him. All he wants is to be near you, and would make a great dog for someone who wants a go-everywhere companion. I took him with me to a small, quiet farmer’s market this morning and he immediately walked up to a stranger and leaned into her for pets. He is super friendly, and not high energy, but a bit on the sensitive side and sometimes seems like he isn’t entirely aware of his body (runs into things, and his feet slip and slide). He may not be a good fit for an apartment because he seems to get anxious when left alone (at least when crated) and barks a bit. That could change once he gets settled."
