Meet Mars, a super cute ~3 month old male small/medium terrier mix puppy, currently weighing about 15 lbs! Mars and his siblings (Bruno, Bandit, Baxter, and Amore) were surrendered to PRL along with their mom, Mamcita (21 lbs) when they were about 6 weeks old. We believe they came from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation, which is sadly very common in TN. We do not know what Dad is, but based on their age and current weight, we think they will likely grow to medium sized dogs (30-40 lbs is our best guess). Mars is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. From Mars' current foster: “Bruno and Mars are sweet, playful, crate trained, go potty outside if brought out frequently, super cuddly, smart little yin-yang squiggles!” He is medically up to date (age appropriate), crate trained, and working on housebreaking (doing very well!). Apply to meet Mars today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
