Amos here, full of love and spice and everything nice. I look like a little lynx cat because of my big tomcat cheeks, my docked tail, and plenty of scars which prove I've been a rough-and-tumble street cat. I'm super sweet but also I like to prove I'm a big, tough guy by wrestling with human arms. However, since I needed my canine teeth pulled, I'm a lot less furry-ocious. I've made it clear I'm also a real loving guy too. I do have some medical conditions we should talk about before you fall heads-over-heels in love with me, though. I am diabetic, which has been controlled by keeping me on a special wet-food only prescription diet. This is about $180 per month in food for me, but at least I don't need insulin right now. I also happen to love the food I'm on - so much so that I don't want to eat anything else! My other medical condition is I am FIV+, no doubt from my fightin' days on the streets. Since FIV is passed through puncture wounds like bites, the likelihood I can give another cat FIV is near minimal now since I don't have any canine teeth. Still, my immune system is compromised by this condition, and I am more likely to develop upper respiratory infections and cold-like symptoms because of it. Because of all this, I really need to be kept indoors-only for my own benefit. Plus, let's be honest, I'm ready to be a cuddle bug and retire to be a couch potato. I don't seem to mind other cats, and I really don't have a viable way to pass the FIV to any other cats now that I'm neutered and have had dental surgery to help my mouth feel better, so it would be okay if I move into a home with other kitties, if my future family wants to handle all of that. If you're ready to take on the most special and interesting cat that ever existed, come on by and meet me. I love company! show less

Well, hello there. My name is Ana, short for Anastasia, but really, just call me Ana. I am what you might call a sensitive girl. I came to the SPCA because I wasn't getting along with a much younger cat in the household that I lived in, and it was just making life miserable for all of us - I expressed my discomfort by going outside the litterbox so I made myself VERY clear that I was not happy. I am MUCH happier as a single cat. In fact, I am very sweet on my own terms! If you're looking for someone who can keep you company without demanding too much attention, or for someone who can just be there for you when you get home from work, I would be most happy to move in with you. I would prefer to be an only cat without any small children in my household, but I might be amenable to a cat-savvy dog as long as we both have space to ignore each other. I haven't had any litterbox issues since coming to the SPCA, so it seems that was likely behavioral and due to me not wanting to be around the other cat. I have had some stomach upset and frequent hairballs, which could be stress related from being in a shelter, or might just be due to a sensitive tummy. It's easy to treat by increasing my fiber intake, though. Really, there is nothing like meeting each other in person, so put in an application and come on down to meet me! show less
