One look at me, and you may think I’ve just come from a dirt bath, but I assure you my orange coat with grey highlights is natural and unique! I swear, I'm clean! And, it’s not just my coat that’s interesting...I’ve had some adventures as well. I’m a pretty resourceful guy, and when I found myself alone I started hanging around a strangers house. It wasn’t long before they took a liking to me and wanted to help me stay safe. That’s how I ended up here at the shelter! Those two nice people brought me in, thinking I looked like a dirty stray, but after a bath ... no grime came off! It's just my coloring. But I did need some help regardless. There are a few things you should know about me….being a stray cat, I was only recently neutered. I am also FIV positive. FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus, which is not contagious or transmissible to people, dogs or other household pets and isn’t contagious or transmissible through saliva or sharing toys or dishes. The thing to be mindful of is having me around other cats; FIV is only contagious through a very bad deep bite which is unlikely to happen as long as you keep me indoors, and if there are other cats introduce me slowly and properly. I'm a nice guy, I wouldn't do that! If you have any concerns about how I’d be with other cats, the staff here will gladly talk with you and do a safe trial run here at the shelter. And, there’s the possibility that I’d be your one and only cat companion! Which I may not mind! As long as I have ample crunchy treats and CATNIP, I'm happy. Oh, and I have very cute nose and lip freckles. They're my beauty marks. And some of my whiskers are black and some are white. How COOL is that!? Don't you want a unique silly cat like me? And, I mean, look how photogenic I am. Promising to keep me indoors is important if you decide to adopt me. You shouldn’t worry too much about the FIV, as I’m told most cats with FIV live long, healthy lives with few or no complications. I’m a sweet two year old boy; litter box trained and playful (I love catnip!) ready to meet YOU!
