Zephyr is a male tuxedo cat who is a few months shy of 3 years old. He has been at the shelter for about three months now. Zephyr has a sad backstory where he was left in his carrier by the shelter door, his owners couldn't keep him any longer. It took him a little bit to forgive us for snatching him out of his comfort zone, but since he got to know us, he has come around! He loves to be pet and get yummy treats! This boy is long and lanky and loves to stretch out on a high cat tree! Zephyr enjoys sitting out on the catio with the other cats. Zephyr struggles with personal space when it comes to other animals. He tends to get right in their face, but all he wants to do is love them! Some cats can take offense to his super outgoing personality. He loves snacks and churru tubes, and will love anyone who offers a tasty treat! Oh gosh, introductions? Really? My name is Inky, and I am NOT happy to be at the shelter. Right now, I prefer to spend my time hiding, but I have started to come out for the humans that regularly give me treats and attention, even when I hiss at them. I am actually a fairly good boy who needs tender-loving-care, patience, and plenty of fun objects to scratch - I got in trouble in my first home for destroying the furniture, oops. So I would be best suited for someone who is looking for a hard-to-adopt, easily overlooked cat. I am on some special food. I eat a high fiber diet, for the most part, because I've suffered from chronic constipation. So eating good quality food helps me a lot. I am interested in other animals, especially cats, but would need to be with nice ones that enjoy a timid companion. I am not used to children, so I would rather not go to a noisy home or a home with young kids, please. If you think you could find room for me in your home, come by and meet me Wednesdays through Saturdays at the SPCA. show less

I'm a single mom trying to keep my head above water in this chaotic world I live in. I ended up in the shelter when I was quite pregnant. I raised my kids in a foster home and watched as they were all adopted. No one was interested in taking me home with them running around. Now that they have homes, I'm hoping someone will take an interest in me. Some call me snarky, some call me spicy, and some say I just have an attitude. Either way, I'm kind of an acquired taste. It's hard being sweet when you've been through as much as I have! Due to my time in jail (in a shelter), I strongly dislike cats - so I'll need to be the one ruling the roost of my new home. When life gets hard you've gotta be hard, please give me the time and comfort to become the sweet lady I was before. show less

Hey there, my name is Winston! I'm a new arrival to the SPCA, and although I am happy to make new friends here, they seem to think I won't be here for long. I love other dogs, meeting new people, and am generally a really good boy. I know how to play fetch and sit and stay, but I kind of listen on my own terms when I know it is going to benefit me. I am not good on a leash and will pull like the dickens, so I would be best for someone who is as athletically inclined as myself and who can let me get all the activity I need to stay happy and healthy. I'm still a fairly young guy, only about 3 years old, and have known a lot of love in my life, so I am a really good dog. The only reason my previous owners gave me up was because I was way too active for their RV lifestyle, and I was tearing up the camper out of boredom. When I was in a normal home setting and inside the kennel here at the shelter, though, I have not been destructive. So come on by and meet me! I would love the company. show less
