Very handsome Smoke came to us from South Carolina, where he was a victim of divorce. He is great with kids and other dogs, dangerous to cats. Smoke was diagnosed with heartworm in April and received treatment, but needs to be kept on restricted activity until the middle of October. This means leash walks for bathroom purposes only. He's disappointed because he loves to go for walks, but we try to make it up to him with extra petting and butt scratches. He enjoys chewing on bones as well, and snoozing in his outside kennel. Smoke seems to be a little hard of hearing, but no other medical conditions have been noted. He's extremely friendly and is looking forward to his forever home. show less

Gable is a super soft, gray, and white male bi-color cat. Named after the 40's actor, Clark Gable, because he's soooo handsome, Gable can be shy at first, however, is ultimately a sucker for people’s pats. Especially on each side of his face, rubbing his cheeks. Gable needs to go to a home with another cat prefer female, so whether that means adopting a pair from the SPCA, or adding him to your family of kitties at home, Gable flourishes with feline company. He and his friend Myers, who you can also find up for adoption, have grown to have a special bond. They enjoy their days snuggling in their cat tree and watching us out the windows. We are asking people to adopt them together, but we understand that bonding them will make it that much harder for them to find a home. Gable and Myers love each other, so we ask that you consider adopting these to love birds as a pair. We recommend a home without small children as Gable can tend to not know his own strength while playing and might not like all that commotion. Being an independent cat, Gable loves people’s attention, but he wants it when HE wants it. So he's not the kind of kitty that needs coddling - he'll enjoy investigating his new home, and snoozing in the sun, but just don't forget to call him for dinner! show less

Kayu is "really good for a husky" as his original owner stated. If you know and love huskies, you'll know what he meant. This beautiful boy actually stayed on his owner's property, rambling around in the woods and the brook. He has tons of energy and loves to play ball - he is an automatic ball return machine. He is friendly with all people and enjoys playing with other dogs. No kitties for our husky boy, and he's too active for little children. He'd love a large property and a running partner.
