Hello, my name is Bertha. I enjoy treats and compliments. I originally was found as a stray, and taken in by a good Samaritan. I was in my old home for about eight months but I was scared of the kids that lived there - they were much too noisy for my liking. I keep my beautiful white coat shiny and clean with several long baths a day. I would be a sweet girl in my new home if my humans were patient with me, and I've begun to show affection here as well. Although I might be independent and standoffish sometimes, I have the potential to come out of my shell and flourish in a new home - preferably a nice quiet one! I am currently on medication to help my anxiety here at the shelter. It has helped a lot! I am more relaxed and give happy blinks. I don't care for other cats, but if your dog is polite I could probably co-exist. After getting used to my new digs for a few months, I would enjoy taking sunny naps in the backyard. Really, I'm a low-maintenance cat and just ask for a little bit of understanding - if you think you can do that, I would love to take the time to get to know each other and maybe even go home with you, if you would give me that chance. (Make sure to have plenty of treats to win me over, too!) Bertha, unlike our other past indoor/outdoor cats, has not been FIV/FeLV tested. To our best knowledge, the likely hood of her having either is very slim. She is not able to be restrained to humainly test. Hello! Would you like to snuggle? Or maybe some playtime? My name is Flowers, and I'm just about as purrfect of a kitty as they get. I don't seem bothered by dogs, other cats, or children, and I'm VERY affectionate and playful. I originally came to the SPCA a couple of years ago as a stray with kittens, and my foster says I was the most absolute perfect cat and momma. I was adopted for a while but returned because I started hissing at my owner - I was trying to tell them something but I guess the message didn't get across. Hissing is just a way us cats communicate that something is bothering us. It's not always as bad as humans think it is. Sometimes we're just saying, hey, I don't like when you do that, can you please stop? In any case, I am back at the shelter, and that's okay because I'm still a lovebug and adore people. It just means I get another chance at another home. I'm already spayed and up-to-date on my shots, so I'm ready to go home any time. Israel is a very handsome young man. He was transferred to the SPCA from a rescue, so we are learning as we go with him. He is somewhat fractious right now, but we are chalking that up to the discomfort he is experiencing from his ears. Israel is being treated for ear mites, but has no other health issues. He has beautiful smiling eyes. show less

Hello! My name is Lulu and I'm ready to PLAY and EXPLORE! I am one of the happiest, friendliest kittens you ever could meet. I came here with my sister, Petunia, when our owner had to move after she had been trying really hard to find homes for us on her own. We're doing well and have recently been spayed - that's weird but evidently good for our long-term health, and we don't even notice it honestly. In our last home, we grew up with dogs, cats, and even a bunny, and we got along with everything. We like to poke our paws through the kennel. I like tapping people and other animals on the head to see if they'll play with me. Overall, I'm the sweetest and funnest kitten you could ask for, so I hope you come by and meet me soon! show less

Hello! I'm the sweetest little black kitten you could ever meet. My name is Petunia, and like my sister, Lulu, I'm very friendly, socialized, and curious. I like being picked up and carried around, and I can't wait to have my own home to explore. I like sticking my paws through the bars of my kennel and screaming at my caretakers so they remember to pick me up and carry me around the shelter when they get a chance. Before my family moved, they tried to find homes for my sister and me but ultimately had to give us to the shelter, and we've been doing great! We're in good health and are plucky girls. According to our family, we were born in a home with dogs, cats, and even a bunny, and we loved everything. So I hope you come by and meet me soon! show less

Ozzy is a toy Australian Shepherd, possibly mixed with a teacup Australian Shepherd. He is shy at first but very food motivated. He is quite fond of his toys and plays fetch well. He is reactive to cats, but could potentially be ok with other dogs, though he'd probably be more successful with females- this could be determined on a case by case basis. He is a little high strung, so he should not be with children younger than 10 years, who may not be able to pick up on his wariness. However once you've gained his trust and shown him he can relax around you, he is great fun, quite intelligent, and makes an all around stand-up partner in crime. Ozzy is trained in at least basic commands, and may be familiar with some clicker training. He is house broken, and does pretty well on leash, though he would benefit from a harness. Though he may bark initially when you start to walk away from him, he settles down soon after and would probably be fine home alone for some time either loose or in a crate. Ozzy is currently on a weight management food to help him lose a couple pounds. His favorite toy is his plush halloween scarecrow. show less
