Hello, my name is Leela! I am still very much a puppy, believe it or not. I'm about 9 months old and super sweet. Like a lot of big pups that have gone through the trauma of losing their homes, though, I can be a little fresh and might growl or show my teeth at first introductions. But show me you're a nice person and we'll become best friends super quickly! Unless you're a veterinarian. Then I know you're trouble and will do my best to get away, after giving you a good scare of course. I love kids and used to sleep with toddlers in my old home. I still have a lot to learn about manners, though, so the kids should be decently dog savvy and understand I'm just a kid too and sometimes, I might push buttons! I really should not be left alone with chickens at this point in my life, and that includes keeping in mind I can easily jump over 6-foot fences. I might be okay with dogs and cats, but I've had a tendency to chase them and get a little obnoxious - I just can't help myself! - so I'll need to be with animals and people that are willing to help me work on my manners. This kind of training isn't really hard and is something a local dog trainer can easily help me work through. In the end, I just need a family! I'm a big kid that needs love and a home to teach me how to be my best self. show less

The name is Powderpuff, and boy do I fit my name! My fur is very soft and extra fluffy! Being brushed and pet are my absolute favorite things! Which is good considering my fur gets matted quickly. You'll notice I'm not as fluffy on my body because I had to get some mats shaved out of my fur. I didn't mind though because I was getting attention! Even if it was for a haircut! I'm an older girl but I say I'm 15 years young. I may be a senior but I have so much more love to give. I tell the humans here all the time, how much love I have. When they walk by or look at me, I scream out! You can see in my picture that I have the cutest face when I yell, and who could resist that? It's the best way to get pet. Do you know all the benefits of adopting a senior cat like me? There are so many! I have a very predictable personality, unlike kittens who change as they grow up. I'm housetrained and I gotta say that I'm a pro at using my litter box. My energy levels are lower which means I'm the perfect snuggle companion. And all my life experience has made me more understanding of my surroundings and humans which means that senior cats are great for homes with other animals and even younger humans. See? Looks and personality! I'm the full package! I'm a new arrival here at the SPCA so I have a few more things to get done before I can be adopted. I have an appointment this week and then maybe I'll find the right humans to take me home and I can show them how truly sweet I am! show less

Hi there! Would you like to adopt the most affectionate cat in the world?! If you answered yes, then I'm your girl! The name's Charlotte and I'm sweet as sweet gets! Humans are my favorite and I love being pet so much that it makes me drool. I give so many hugs and kisses that you'd swear I was a dog and not a cat. The shelter humans like to tell me how special I am every day because they just cannot believe how sweet I am. In my last house I lived with one other cat and I loved my feline sibling so I'm sure I would do just fine going to a home with another cat friendly feline. Besides cuddling, I love catnip and climbing up high on shelves and cat trees. I'm an indoor cat, unfamiliar with the outdoors, but sometimes I like to bolt when a door opens because I'm an adventurous girl! My new home would have to be careful opening the front door around me! I can't help myself, it looks like so much fun out there! I'm hoping to find a home soon so I can have some humans of my very own to snuggle and drool on! I need a rabies vaccine, but you can still fill out an application for me! I'll be available for meet and greets and adoption after November 21st. One little thing about me, according to my surrender form, I am spayed, and I have not entered heat once yet while with the SPCA so it is likely I am fixed. However, they have no medical confirmation from a vet about this, so if I go to a home and start showing signs of being in heat (overly affectionate, rubbing my bum on things, incessant crying, or marking territory by peeing outside of the litterbox), then my family should contact the shelter IMMEDIATELY and let them know to schedule a spay appointment. As it is likely I am spayed and would cost a lot for the shelter to find out at this time with invasive surgery, this has been deemed the best solution for my well-being. show less
