My name is Endalia, and while I can be very shy in new situations, I have come out of my shell at the shelter and have shown I am a total sweetheart. I love to play, eat catnip, and roll around for love! I am not too crazy about other cats but can tolerate living with them as long as they aren't in my face all the time. Otherwise, they might stress me out and I will look for a place to hide - I don't really have a mean bone in my body. I find dogs to be VERY scary, even when they're not doing anything or ignoring me, so I would prefer not to be in a home with dogs. I would be an easy first pet for someone who just wants a bit of company. Come by and meet me! show less

Hey there, I'm Apollo! I'm a big guy who needs a lot of love! I love to be pet, picked up, and brushed. I live in a community room here at the shelter and do well with the other cats, though I can be a bit of the boss. I need a home with no dogs, as I have had really bad experiences with those guys in the past and they tend to set me off. By that, I should clarify I get very aggressive toward dogs, and may redirect that aggression when around dogs, so I need to be in a dog-free home. I'm unsure of little kids, but I think a nice respectful home will do for me! I love to be the tallest one around and would really love a cat tree to chill on in my down time. I also love checking the outdoors out and might enjoy a catio or going for walks on a harness and leash. show less

Here there, my name is Deacon. I have a super-loving personality! I love to be pet and have a bonding snack time with my new favorite friend! I need to be adopted to a multi-cat home, as I have been flourishing here with a big group of cat friends. That may mean you adopt another cat from the shelter, or I go to your house and become one of your many furry babies! I have been good with cats *obviously ;)* and kids. Hello, I'm Becca! I am a 5-year-old, spayed female cat. My friend Olive and I were adopted out as kittens from the Maryland shelter we were transported from. Unfortunately, our owner died so we had to go back into a shelter. Now, we are here at the SPCA, ready to find our brand new home! I am very shy and basically invisible when in a noisy household. I will let you pick me up and pat me, but I'm not very outgoing. I do love treats, though, especially wet treats like Squeeze Ups or Churus. Those are a great way to make friends with me. show less

Tigger is a nine-year-old cat who was surrendered due to housing circumstances with her owners. Tigger was adopted from the SPCA as a kitten and was unfortunately returned just a month ago. She is a very sweet old lady who loves company and to be held. Tigger coexists with cats here at the shelter, but we suspect she would prefer to be the only cat in her home. She's a laid-back cat who loves respectful attention from anyone who will give it. She loves to get treats and even lets out a little spunk when she gets some catnip. Tigger has the classic old lady face, tiger striped lips with white accentuating her face. She enjoys watching people come in and out of the shelter, wishing she would be the next one to get adopted. This ol’ girl needs a cozy lap to keep heated during these upcoming cold months. show less

Hey there! I'm Cindy Lou, the perfect playmate! I'm enormous fun and super clever. I have loads of energy and love learning agility tricks. Oh, and there's a creek behind the shelter - LOVE paddling around in that! Oh gosh, I'm excited just thinking about all the fun things I can do! I sure hope my future owner enjoys hiking and having fun outdoors - that would be the best thing ever! We could go camping and run the trails and climb and OH MY GOSH that would be amazing! I would also love to play on an obstacle course in the back yard. THAT WOULD BE AMAZING TOO! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN! I guess I need to slow down a second and actually meet my forever human first, though. Waiting can be so hard! I'm still learning how to not pull on my leash, but I do love my treats so that encourages me to work on it. Plus there are some things my future human should know about me. I was likely abused when I was younger. I was found as a stray so my history is pretty mysterious, but I flinch and close my eyes when hands are waved around my head. I also find it really suss when someone grabs my neck. This has given me a history of nipping, which means I must be in a home without small children. It doesn't help that I have a tendency to jump up and nip your sleeve when I'm frustrated or excited - I'm a little too powerful to do that with a small kid! I'm really working on trust, and in my last home I even met a few kids! And finally, I really do NOT like other animals. They're stinky and stupid! This means I need to be kept under control with a harness or head collar when I go for walks in areas popular with other dog walkers, and I would benefit from a desensitization program with a professional dog trainer. For this reason, I CANNOT go to dog parks or be off leash. Sounds like a lot of conditions, doesn't it? Man, I'm sorry about that. I really just want to make a best friend that can snuggle up on a couch with or go for hikes with when the weather is beautiful. I truly am a happy girl who always has a smile in her eyes. I love snuggles and chewing on a nylabone as much as I love going for adventures. What I really want is to have an amazing human I can spend my life with. Do you think that could be you? Hey there! I'm a cuddly and fun kitten who is entering his "awkward teen years". I'm here with my brother, Galaxy, right now, because we kind of tormented the older cats in our first home. Oops! We may not be good with other cats, and sometimes we size up dogs to consider whether we can hunt those, but we are WONDERFUL with people. We are cuddly, affectionate, and fun.
