Once I'm settled into a home I will be the first to greet you at the door. My foster family said I'm purr-fect and such a lady in the house. Mavis is the most patient mom we've ever fostered. She never gets annoyed with her kittens, even when they keep playing with her tail or wrap their paws around her neck. She settled into her new surroundings immediately and started rubbing up against us, wanting pets. She loves attention and to sit close to people and lean up against them. She likes to reach up and scratch, so a cat tree would be great for her. She likes looking out the window especially when a delivery truck is here. She likes treats, and wet and dry food. I am a very scared - but VERY fluffy - boy. Right now, I would be happiest if you don't pay too much attention to me and let me have lots of space and quiet time. I love my hidey spots and boxes to hide in. I am a gentle boy, though, and would likely come around to attention if a person was kind and patient with me. I haven't been re-introduced to other cats since coming to the shelter, so I will have to see what I think of them now that I have tasted what it feels like to have my own space. I am a gorgeous young girl with a bit of an old soul. I am truly a unique beauty, since I look like a tiny Maine coon or Norwegian Forest cat - who knows what lies in my ancestry! Likewise, there is probably a story behind my crooked tail, which must have been broken when I was itty-bitty and healed wrong. It doesn't bother me but it does make for a different aesthetic! I do need to live a stress-free life, since I have a Grade Two heart murmur. I have been spayed and brought up-to-date on my shots, and I am okay with other cats as long as they give me lots of space and recognize I am a queen. I'm not so crazy about dogs. Kids are okay as long as they too can recognize I am wonderful. I am a total lovebug and adore snuggles and cuddles. Come by and meet me! show less

Hello there! I'm Acorn, and I'm a sweet, chatty boy who LOVES toys and treats. I can be a little bit shy and need some extra love to help me gain confidence, especially when I'm going through a new situation. I came from a big family of kitties, some of us got along, some of us didn't. I would do well with other cats, as long as they're nice to me, but I would also do well as a single boy as long as you have enough time to dedicate to loving me and playing with me. I haven't met a dog yet but I would be okay with children as long as they're gentle and kind to me. I am transitioning from a sensitive stomach diet since I came in with extensive tummy issues, so I am still going from an expensive gastro-food to kitten food. My future family should expect that I may have recurring bouts of upset tummy or sensitivity to foods and treats. Update: I have come a long way since arriving at the shelter. I love being with other cats, although Hotay is still my favorite. Potato is another kitty I like a lot. We now greet nearly everyone that comes to visit the Green Room. Hotay is still the more outgoing one who wants attention first, but I have come to accept that human love is a good thing. Previous bio: It can be hard to tell me apart from my brother, Hotay, but that's the way I like it. We're a total bonded pair of brothers, and I can't imagine going anywhere without Hotay! I'm the bigger one of the pair, though, and I have shorter hair, if you're really trying to figure out a way to differentiate us. Oh, and I have more trust issues than he does. I am very shy and hide away from people, but I love to play with Hotay and other kitties. And sometimes, when I'm sleepy, I even enjoy being pet by humans ... just don't tell anyone! show less

You might have a hard time telling me and my sister, Ginkgo, apart from each other, since we're like identical brown tabbies AND we have practically the same personality. We're both shy but very sweet, and we love to play with toys. We love being with other kittens and exploring, and generally we're great kittens! The big thing with both of us is that we had a lot of tummy issues when we were tiny, mostly due to parasites, so our stomachs can be sensitive to diet changes or new foods. Because of that, we're still going through a slow transition from a high-quality gastro-intentestinal food to kitten food. show less

My name is Jekyll, or at least that is what they have been calling me here at the shelter. And I don't mind, you can call me whatever you want, as long as you have yummy food and are nice to me! I am a sweet, elderly gentleman that had been finding food around a kind person's house for nearly a year, but the local cat there didn't want me getting close so the nice lady eventually caught me and brought me to the SPCA. Since then, I have had warm beds, a full belly, and made lots of friends! My next goal is to find a home! I have been fully vetted, although I arrived neutered so most likely I was owned at some point in my mysterious past. I am super sweet and love to rub up for attention, and sometimes can't stand not being the center of attention. I make "biscuits", even "air biscuits" when I knead my paws into the thin air as you pet me. Basically, if you are a looking for a sweet, easy companion, look no further! I am okay with cats and dogs, as long as I can have the option to ignore them or go up to them and interact as I please. I'm not one for confrontation but I also don't like it when another animal tries to keep me away from being petted, so I will assert myself then! Hey there! My name is Skooma, and I'm a gorgeous spotted black-and-white Aussie/Collie mix. I came from a nice military family but when we got deployed to a new base, we had too many pets per the housing code, and I had to find a new start in life. I have been around children, cats, and other dogs, but I would be just as happy to be your solo companion or hiking buddy. I am not aggressive toward cats but can get the zoomies and may chase cats, so I would be best suited for cats that enjoy playing. One thing about me is I do have a lot of anxiety, which is pretty common for a working dog breed that doesn't have a job to do. And I have LOADS of kennel anxiety so I present very badly at my kennel, but if you meet me outside or in a room, I'm generally a perfect pup. I would be best suited for a family that is dog-savvy and has experience with working dog breeds, or with someone who lives a quiet life with plenty of routine and time for excursions. Once you're my friend, I'm about as cuddly as you can imagine. I love to curl up on laps or lean into my favorite people. I also have a favorite stuffed toy that I carry around for emotional support and will show my friends. It's my puppy!
