Why, hello there. My name is Lily, and I am a beautiful long-hair tortoiseshell cat that is 10 years young... okay, almost 11. (I can call myself beautiful because it's true! My sister, Rocky, isn't so bad either.) Since I was a kitten, my sister and I grew up in a loving home, and that's where we spent the next 10 years, until our dad passed away. We know what it's like to have a loving home and are happy to bestow kisses and affection on those we deem worthy - I happen to have more particular tastes than my sister but I do tend to prefer men. Women are fine as well, I just like them to know I'm the prettiest girl in the room - as long as they're okay with that, we're all good! Now I must confess, I do come with some conditions. On top of wanting to be only pets with my sister Rocky, since it's always been the two of us our whole lives and we don't like change, my gorgeous long fur needs daily brushing so I don't hack up those yucky hairballs. Trust me, it's unpleasant for me and I have the distinct impression humans aren't too fond of hairballs either, so that daily brushing is important to me. Secondly, I have had some issues with tinkling outside of the litter box in the past when conditions weren't just right, since I'm prone to urinary tract infections. I love it when my litterbox is kept clean too, so sometimes I have gone outside of the box just to remind people that it's time to change my potty. Because I've had frequent UTIs in the past, I have a special food called prescription C/D food. It doesn't taste that great but it does help me feel a lot better. The humans here at the SPCA feed it to my sister and me, and they promise to send it home with us so we don't have to try any foods that make us sick. I know that can sound like a lot - cat nearly in her teen years, bonded to her sister, doesn't want other dogs or cats to compete for attention, needs daily brushing and a special diet - but I really do appreciate it when someone goes that extra mile for me, and I'm sure to reward my favorite people with rubs, asking for lots of pets, and rolls to show off my glorious belly. Also don't forget, my adoption fee is only $100 because I'm a senior cat, and with my sister, that would be a total of $150 for both of us since she comes half off (you know I'm the better half anyway!) Also if you happen to be a senior like us (65 or older in human years), you can get an additional 30% discount on our adoption fee. We're FIV/FeLV negative, which means we don't have those specific cat illnesses, yay! We're also up-to-date on our vaccines and shots. Love for a lifetime from two darling cats - what are you waiting for? Can't adopt but want to help out? Consider sponsoring instead! When you become a Pet Pal and give monthly on behalf of our shelter animals, you are ensuring they receive the best care possible during their stay with the SPCA on their journey to a forever home. You not only are their sponsor, you're their truest friend!
