I have been an indoor/outdoor cat with my previous owner, so it would be acceptable for me to go outdoors as long as you promise to let me in for snuggles! I think I would do best in a quiet home so I could be confident and continue to show you how much love I have to give. I was from a stray cat colony so I would most likely be okay with other cats but I'm unsure about dogs. My profile says no kids because loud noises scare me, not because I'm mean. MEOW! Excuse me! I've been trying to get your attention for quite a while now, my name is Derrick! I'm one of the last Georgia cats left here at the SPCA. I was a tad bit sick when this shelter got me, but these people have given me my meds- that tasted awful if you were wondering- and I am alllll better now! So now that I'm all cleared up and cleaned up, as you can see from my EXTREMELY handsome pics, now I just have to find a new home. I love other cats, and all humans, big and small, and at the moment I have not met any pups to decide if the canine kind is right for me or not. Though Rango may be unable to resist the urge to steal the scrunchie right out of your hair, we promise he will do so with the utmost politeness and consideration. This goofy and sweet boy is known both for his looks and intelligence at the shelter, and from what we've seen gets along with just about everyone he meets. At only around a year-and-a-half old, his favorite thing to do is play, play, play (especially with hair scrunchies)!!!!- And he doesn't really care who you are as long as you're willing to indulge his desire to romp around and chase after a ball, wrestle, and roll around in the grass. His energy levels and athleticism would make him a prime candidate for a hiking, running, or swimming buddy too! Rango is confident and has demonstrated impressive ability to read social cues, and has shown appropriate behavior with everyone we've seen him meet- human, canine, and feline. We believe he would do well with children as long as they are dog-saavy enough to understand that if they open the door for him he will not hesitate to go on a self-guided tour. That said, Rango could use some work on strengthening his re-call skills, and in the mean time would do best in a home with either a securely fenced-in yard where he can have supervised playtime, or with someone dedicated to making sure he gets ample daily physical activity on leash. Dos Pacos is a Presa Canario, which is a mastiff-type dog. We suggest you read up on this breed. Dos is very gentle and shy. Loud noises and sudden movements startle him so that he tries to move away from the scariness. He has a low growl, whines, and shakes/shivers when he is in a new situation. His former owner advised us that he only trained his dogs with a soft voice, even whispers, so Dos is not used to having commands yelled at him. While un-neutered he was fighting with male dogs, he will need to be re-evaluated for placement in a home with other animals. Because he is skittish, a home with young children would not be appropriate. Dos is looking for a quiet home with someone who appreciates this magnificent breed. Once he gets to know you, he likes to cuddle with his massive head in your lap or romp around the yard like a giant silly puppy. show less

She did really well during her surgery and also got an antibiotic steroid shot for her bad skin. Fayette is all ready to go into her new home and be the snuggly enjoyable cat that she is, She enjoys being pet and giving hugs. Anyone who gives Fayette her food is automatically her best friend and has gotten pretty chunky here at the shelter. We can’t help it! We just love her so much! Fayette doesn’t seem to enjoy the company of other cats but may be able to live with them after a slow introduction. She would be a perfect cat for small children. show less
