Hello new friend! My name is Zeus, which fits me because of how big and impressively handsome I am, but I also respond well to my nickname, Big Boy! I am 100 lbs of love and drool. I get along with kids, cats, dogs, you name it. I'm a gentle giant who just wants to spend time hanging out with my people. I get really anxious in the kennel, so I bark a lot at the shelter, but nothing makes me happier than when I have a visitor and get to go outside. I have not been on a lot of leashed walks, so I am still working on not pulling on the leash. It is recommended that you walk me on a harness so I can learn not to drag you without you needing to pull back on my leash and hurt my throat. I actually have a harness that already fits me! I was not neutered until recently, so my future family should be patient and help me learn to stop marking everything now that my meatballs are gone. My prostate got quite large due to not being neutered when I was younger, so I do have to urinate a lot, but overall, this does not cause many issues. I'm a pretty healthy boy, although my eyes are starting to get some cataracts. I likely have several good years left to spend with my new family. My background is I have passed through a few owners who have passed away, and my most recent owner had to move into smaller housing for assisted living where I was just too big of a dog to bring along. I would be an excellent family dog because although I am big, I love kids and other animals, and I know how to be gentle for my size. Come on by and meet me! show less

We are what you might call a "happy accident" - our mama had us before her family could get her spayed. Oops, but at least we're cute! We love each other a lot and would LOVE to go to a home together. We're a little shy with new people but quickly warm up if you introduce yourself nicely, and we absolutely love food time. We like other cats, but we haven't spent much time with dogs yet, and we haven't spent a lot of time with small children, so it is hard to say how we would do with those.
