Hello! My name is Kennebec but you can just call me Becky - or you can just totally rename me if you adopt me, since it's not like I know my name yet. I'm just a baby still, after all! I am a very friendly little girl that you can easily hold like a baby, as you can see. I haven't had much of a chance to get to know dogs yet, but I seem happy enough to see other cats, and I get along great with my siblings. I've also always been friendly when little human children come by for a visit; I'm just happy to make friends and snuggle! Really, my siblings and I are just the purrfect kittens. Hey there. They call me Fritz. When my brothers and I were rescued and brought into foster, it seemed like it might have been a little too late to socialize us. I especially was hissy and would hide a lot, even from my foster mama. But I always came out when there was food, and I LOVE my brothers. Chips has since been adopted, but I'm bonded to my brother, Spitz, and so where he goes, I go. We can even do the naughty twin act of pretending to be the other because we look so alike! To be honest, now that I've been around humans for a little while, I've gotten a lot friendlier. I think I would be fine in a quiet home that gives me plenty of yummy food and playtime with my brother. My brother and I are NOT fans of dogs though. There was this dog in the lobby, and I stood up and arched my back. I was gonna show her whatfor! We might be fine with other cats, though, since we love each other so much. As for small children, we are still a bit skittish, so we would be happier with older kids or adults. I can't believe I'm gonna say it, you know, since I tried to convince everyone I was so feral and all that a little while ago, but I can't wait to find my own family with my brother! (Disclaimer: it is really hard to tell Spitz and me apart by our photos!) show less

Hello! My name is Spitz. I'm the friendliest of my brothers. Even when the SPCA thought we might have been rescued too late to be properly socialized, I always came running over for my nummy num food and purred when petted by someone I could trust. Now that my brother, Fritz, and I have been around people for a while now, we're actually quite friendly and playful, if a bit shy still. We don't like dogs - they're so big and stinky and yucky! - but we might be fine with other cats, considering how much we love each other. As for human kids, well, the little ones kind of scare us, honestly. We'd much rather be in a quieter, respectful home that gives us time and space to adjust. Once we get used to you, I'm the most likely of us brothers to curl up on your lap for a snuggle, according to my foster mom. I really hope someone adopts Fritz and me soon! show less

After some cleaning up and a spay, she is all ready to find her forever home. She has energy for days and can’t wait to start exploring with you! Kimchi very big on snuggles, and loves to just sit and cuddle with you. As her name might imply, Kimchi has a little bit of spice to go with her black cat sass! She has been a bit wishy-washy when meeting other animals. She has not liked dogs since she arrived, and has not been too keen with some of the more outgoing cats. Hullo! My name is Maggie. I'm a tabby and white shorthaired kitty that may be a tad on the larger side. But hey, with big girls like me, there's just more to love! I'm a pretty laidback and friendly kitty, although sometimes I do get spooked and hide. I don't mind when there are rambunctious kittens on the kennel above me; sometimes, we play pawsies together. So I likely would be fine with other cats, at least friendly ones. I do get scared when another cat starts hissing at me. Why do they do that anyway? But I don't really have a mean bone in my body so it's not like I would hurt them. I'm just a giant marshmallow. One of my previous owners had a dog that I used to play with, so it's likely I can get along with some dogs too. Basically, I'm pretty purrfect! I might need a little bit of patience and time to adjust to a new home because change can be scary, but once you let me settle in, I will love being your new best friend. show less

Hi there! My name is Seal. I'm a gray and white kitten that might be either a medium or long haired kitty when I grow up. I have very downy, soft fur right now, and I'm a little small for my age because I've had some URIs. The SPCA is nursing me back to full health now and expects me to be a perfectly healthy kitten in no time so they're willing to let people put in these cool things call adoption applications to apply to be my future family. Yay! I'm well-socialized because I've always been handled and around people, and I'm happy being around other kittens. I'm not terribly shy but I'm also not super outgoing - sort of a calm in-between. I do love snuggles and like to smear my face against the camera if you try to take my picture. I like other cats and have no problem brushing up against them with my lovely bushy tail - sometimes, they think I'm being a flirt but I say when you got it, you got it! I don't seem to mind dogs, either. Honestly, I'm the purrfect cat for just about any family, even if you've never owned a cat before! The only thing you should be mindful about me is keeping me indoors. Or you can likely even harness-train me or let me outside in an enclosed catio. Hello! They call me Baby Girl. I may not be a kitten but I'm a very sweet 5-year-old girl. I was found on a nice lady's porch in a cardboard box, and she felt so bad for me because I was very skinny and in poor health so she took me to some nice rescuers to make sure I got the care I needed. Now that I've put on a healthy amount of weight and I'm not so scared, I'm ready for a purrfect home. Although people don't know a lot about my background, it's obvious I've had a hard life and would love to be, well, someone's Baby Girl. The shelter has been overrun with kittens so all the community rooms have been filled with them, and I haven't had much of a chance to socialize with other cats or dogs because of that so we're not sure how I get along with other animals. I may be okay with other pets; if you already have pets at home and are interested in me, just ask the adoption counselor and they'll arrange to have me cat or dog tested before a meet-and-greet. What I REALLY love is lots of yummy-yum food - I NEVER want to go hungry again. So food is a quick way to win over my heart! I also love a gentle touch and kind pets. I might take a little bit of time to come up to your hand if you offer it to me, since I can be a little shy at first, but I appreciate a sweet and patient person. I am quite a little lady, can't you tell? I sure hope a sweet and loving family takes me home soon! Would you like to come meet me? show less

My name is Calf. I bet you can't figure out why they would call me that ... I'm still a little wary of humans, to be honest. You're so big and you only have two legs and it's so weird! I'm MUCH more comfortable with other cats. In fact, I haven't met a cat I don't love. I would make a wonderful companion for another cat, actually. Old cats, young cats, doesn't matter to me! So if you have a lonely kitty at home, or if you're thinking of adopting another cat from here but want to find a friend for them, think of me. I may need time to get used to you, so if you want me to be an indoor/outdoor kitty, it would be best to keep me inside for several weeks to give me that chance to learn to trust you before you start letting me go outside. Otherwise, I'm a low-maintenance kitten, eager to be a friend to all cats. show less

Hello, my name is Gray. I came here to the shelter as a young mother cat - I'm only a little over a year old! - but I successfully raised my five kittens. When you first meet me, I might seem a little shy at first, but if you're gentle and give me a chance to trust you (which may not take long, sometimes I take to people instantly!), you'll see I'm a very sweet kitty. Also take a close look at my toes ... I have extra for making my special love biscuits! Now that I'm spayed and don't have to worry about little mouths to feed, I'm starting to enjoy life for myself and finding I like to play. I think it's exciting when one of the other cats is knocking one of the toys around. I also LOVE being petted by my friends, as you can see in my photos. Good heads rubs and ear scratches make me feel wonderful! I'm happy my kittens all found nice homes but I sure would love to find one for myself. I would be happy with other cats, and I might tolerate dogs. The most important thing is that my family gives me the time I need to adjust to a new environment. Put me in a quiet room with my necessities, quietly visit with me and give me gentle love, and gradually introduce me to the rest of the household. That will help me feel secure, which is all I really need! I'm one of those incredibly sweet kitties that just takes a little bit of time to come out of my shell. show less
